That price movement suggests the market has already adjusted downward, which can make the car more approachable now but may also limit near-term upside for a future seller. If you buy at the right price, you may reduce the risk of taking a bigger depreciation hit later. Should I buy a 2020 Mercedes-Benz CLA or consider a different year?

If you're weighing the 2020 against nearby model years, here's how to think about it:

Choose the 2020 if:

• 34.5% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 13.04% compared with last year.
• Owners rate it 4/5 — a solid satisfaction signal.

The bottom line: The 2020 is the better pick if you want the updated model-year package and you value a balance of style, comfort, and everyday usability. If your priority is stretching your budget further, a nearby year with a lower asking price may be the better path, especially if you can find one with strong service history and a clean inspection.
