Is the 2022 Mazda CX-3 a good car?

The 2022 Mazda CX-3 is a small crossover that stands out for its stylish design and fun-to-drive character, while also offering a premium-feeling approach for the class. It is best suited to you if you want a compact footprint and value driving enjoyment more than maximum space.

Its trade-off is practicality, since the back seat is cramped and cargo space is limited. Even so, the formula is straightforward and well equipped, which can make it appealing if you want a small SUV with a more polished feel than many rivals.

With 31.6% of listings marked as good or great deals, you have a meaningful share of the market to shop from.

Is the 2022 Mazda CX-3 reliable?

The 2022 Mazda CX-3 is described as having strong safety ratings, which supports its reputation as a sensible used buy. It also benefits from Mazda’s familiar emphasis on a straightforward, well-equipped package.

For long-term ownership, your main risk is less about complexity and more about whether the CX-3’s limited space will still suit your needs over time.

Is now a good time to buy a used 2022 Mazda CX-3?

This looks like a moderate market for selective buyers: there is enough inventory to compare options, but the best-priced examples may still move quickly.

• Deal availability: 31.6% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Inventory: There are 57 listings available.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 7.46% compared with last year.

If you find a listing below $22,867 CAD, that's toward the low end of the year-round range and worth acting on quickly.

What is the 2022 Mazda CX-3's resale value?

The current average of $22,937 CAD sits slightly below last year's $24,785 CAD.

That price movement suggests the CX-3 has softened enough to give you a better entry point as a buyer today. If you plan to sell later, you should expect resale value to depend heavily on condition, mileage, and how well your vehicle compares with the limited supply of clean examples.

Should I buy a 2022 Mazda CX-3 or consider a different year?

If you're weighing the 2022 against nearby model years, here's how to think about it:

Choose the 2022 if:

• 31.6% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 7.46% compared with last year.

The bottom line: If you want the newest CX-3 in this generation and you value its style and driving feel, the 2022 is the one to target. If your priority is stretching your budget further, a nearby year may be worth a look, especially if you can find a cleaner example at a lower asking price.

How does the 2022 Mazda CX-3 compare to the 2022 Honda HR-V?

The CX-3 is the lower-priced option here, while the HR-V gives you a much larger pool of listings to shop from. If you want the better value on paper, the CX-3 has the edge; if you want more inventory and more chances to compare condition and equipment, the HR-V is the broader market.
