Is the 2022 Lexus RX Hybrid reliable?

Is now a good time to buy a used 2022 Lexus RX Hybrid?

This looks like a moderate, selective buyer’s market, so you can shop carefully without feeling rushed.

• Deal availability: 28.4% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Inventory: There are 67 listings available.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 2.80% compared with last year.

If you find a listing below $47,463 CAD, that's toward the low end of the year-round range and worth acting on quickly.

What is the 2022 Lexus RX Hybrid's resale value?

The current average of $47,463 CAD sits slightly below last year's $48,831 CAD.

That suggests the market has eased a bit, which can help you buy at a more favourable point in the cycle. If you plan to sell later, the softer pricing trend means your eventual resale value will depend more heavily on condition, mileage, and how well the vehicle is equipped. A well-kept example should still appeal to shoppers looking for a premium hybrid SUV.

Vehicles with strong owner satisfaction ratings, like this model year's 4.7/5, tend to retain buyer demand, which supports resale value over time.

Should I buy a 2022 Lexus RX Hybrid or consider a different year?

If you're weighing the 2022 against nearby model years, here's how to think about it:

Choose the 2022 if:

• 28.4% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 2.80% compared with last year.
• Owners rate it 4.7/5 — a strong satisfaction signal.

Consider the 2023 if:

• At $55,580 CAD, the 2023 costs more than the current year's $47,463 CAD average.
• The 2023 adds three electrified RX variants, broadening your hybrid choices.

The bottom line: Choose the 2022 if you want the lower entry price and are comfortable shopping a smaller pool of listings. Consider the 2023 if you want a broader hybrid lineup and are willing to pay more for the newer redesign. If price matters most, the 2022 is the more practical starting point.
