Is the 2022 Kia Telluride a good car?

Yes — the 2022 Kia Telluride earns a 4.6/5 user rating, which points to strong owner satisfaction. Owners consistently praise its value, luxurious features, and spacious interior, and many also like its safety features and smooth ride. It fits especially well if you want a three-row midsize SUV with family-friendly space and a polished feel without moving up to a larger vehicle class. Is the 2022 Kia Telluride reliable?

Owners rate it 4.6/5, a strong signal of long-term satisfaction.

The owner feedback also points to a dependable, trouble-free ownership experience for many shoppers, with praise centred on its value, comfort, and everyday usability. That said, some owners mention build-quality concerns, so a careful inspection still matters on the used market.

For used buyers, the main long-term ownership risk is less about the overall package and more about finding a well-kept example with no signs of interior wear or prior neglect.

Is now a good time to buy a used 2022 Kia Telluride?

This looks like a moderate, selective buyer’s market, so you can shop patiently but should move quickly on the right listing.

• Deal availability: 28.6% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Inventory: There are 185 listings available.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 22.58% compared with last year.

If you find a listing below $34,578 CAD, that's toward the low end of the year-round range and worth acting on quickly.

What is the 2022 Kia Telluride's resale value?

The current average of $34,588 CAD sits slightly below last year's $44,674 CAD.

That drop suggests the market has already adjusted downward, which can help you buy at a more favourable point in the cycle. For a future seller, it also means there may be less room for further price erosion if demand stays steady. The Telluride’s broad appeal and strong feature set should continue to support interest from family buyers.

Vehicles with strong owner satisfaction ratings, like this model year's 4.6/5, tend to retain buyer demand, which supports resale value over time.

Should I buy a 2022 Kia Telluride or consider a different year?

If you're weighing the 2022 against nearby model years, here's how to think about it:

Choose the 2022 if:

• 28.6% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 22.58% compared with last year.
• Owners rate it 4.6/5 — a strong satisfaction signal.

Consider the 2021 if:

• At $30,335 CAD, the 2021 costs less than the current year's $34,588 CAD average.
• It offers strong value with few changes and broad owner praise.

Consider the 2023 if:

• At $42,235 CAD, the 2023 costs more than the current year's $34,588 CAD average.
• It adds minor styling updates, new technology, and X-Line/X-Pro trims.

The bottom line: The 2022 is the best all-around choice if you want a well-equipped Telluride with a softer price than the 2023 and a more mature feature set than the 2021. If price is your top priority, the 2021 is the smarter value play; if you want the newest updates, the 2023 is the upgrade path.
