What should I look for when buying a used 2022 Kia Sportage?

Key things to evaluate:

• Trim level: The LX is the entry point, while LX Nightsky adds blind-spot warning with rear cross-traffic alert. EX and SX bring forward-collision warning with pedestrian detection, automatic emergency braking, lane-departure warning, and lane-keeping assistance, and the EX also gains a standard panoramic sunroof for this year.

The SX gets a more robust turbocharged setup with 237 hp and 260 lb-ft of torque, and all-wheel drive is standard on all grades except the entry-level LX FWD.

• LX Nightsky: This trim is worth a look if you want a little more safety equipment, since it adds blind-spot warning with rear cross-traffic alert.
• EX: This is the best-value trim for many shoppers because it adds the main driver-assistance suite and a standard panoramic sunroof.
• EX Premium S: This trim sits above EX, but the available data does not spell out a distinct equipment advantage over the lower trims.
• SX: Choose this if you want the strongest performance, standard AWD, and the most upscale tech and audio features.
