Used 2022 Kia Seltos for Sale nearSaskatoon, SK

How much does the 2022 Kia Seltos cost?

Prices have softened 14.48% compared to this time last year, making it a favourable time to shop this model year.

There are 503 listings available, which suggests you should have a reasonable amount of inventory to compare.

Is the 2022 Kia Seltos a good car?

Yes — the 2022 Kia Seltos earns a 4.83/5 from owners and a 7.5/10 from our experts. The standout strength is Safety at 9/10.

Owners consistently praise its comfort, smooth ride, impressive fuel economy, and handling. The model also gets credit for its practical space, easy-to-use technology, and strong warranty, which makes it appealing if you want a compact SUV that feels well rounded for everyday use.

The trade-offs are worth noting: the transmission can be irritating, the interior materials can feel cheap, and the cabin can be noisy. In use-case terms, it suits you best if you want a comfortable, user-friendly small crossover rather than a sporty or especially refined one.

Only 27.4% of listings are priced as good or great deals, so the market still rewards careful shopping.

Is the 2022 Kia Seltos reliable?

Owners rate it 4.83/5, a strong signal of long-term satisfaction.

Owner feedback points to a vehicle that feels dependable in daily use, with praise for comfort, smooth ride quality, and the kind of ownership experience people can count on. The expert evaluation also notes that Kia backs the Seltos with a five-year, 100,000-kilometre warranty and roadside assistance coverage, which supports confidence in long-term ownership.

That said, used buyers should still pay attention to service history and make sure any drivability or cabin-noise concerns are acceptable to you before you commit.

What should I look for when buying a used 2022 Kia Seltos?

Key things to evaluate:

• Trim level: The LX is the most basic version, while the EX adds more standard equipment and the EX Premium and SX bring more features. The base trim misses standard all-wheel drive, so you should check whether that matters for your driving needs.
• Powertrain: The LX, EX, and EX Premium use a 2.0-litre four-cylinder with a CVT, while the SX upgrades to a turbocharged 1.6-litre four-cylinder with a seven-speed dual-clutch automatic. The turbo setup is more satisfying, but the CVT and DCT each have their own quirks.
• Safety package: Blind spot monitoring and rear cross-traffic alert are standard. From the EX, you also get forward-collision avoidance, pedestrian detection, automatic emergency braking, lane-departure warning, lane-keeping assist, and lane-centring assist. Adaptive cruise control with stop-and-go and Highway Driving Assist are reserved for the SX.
• Infotainment: Lower trims use an 8-inch touchscreen with wireless smartphone connectivity. The 10.25-inch system starts on the EX Premium and adds Bluetooth for two devices, navigation, connected services, satellite radio, and a six-speaker stereo. Apple CarPlay and Android Auto are wired on the larger system.
• Fuel efficiency: The SX is rated at 8.7 litres per 100 kilometres in combined driving, and the expert evaluation matched that figure on its test loop.

Which 2022 Kia Seltos trim should I buy?

The 2022 Kia Seltos is offered in 4 trim levels: LX, EX, EX Premium, and SX.

Here's the short version:

• LX: This is the entry point, and it makes sense if you want the lowest-cost way into the Seltos. It gives you the core package, but you should be aware that it does not include standard AWD.
• EX: This is the best-value choice for many shoppers because it adds the important safety upgrades and standard AWD while staying below the higher-feature trims.
• EX Premium: Choose this if you want the larger 10.25-inch infotainment system and a more feature-rich cabin without jumping all the way to the top trim.
• SX: This is the one to buy if you want the turbocharged engine, the more advanced driver-assistance features, and the most complete equipment list.

The safety package is strongest from the EX upward, while the SX is the only trim that adds adaptive cruise control with stop-and-go and Highway Driving Assist.

Is now a good time to buy a used 2022 Kia Seltos?

This is a moderate market for selective buyers, so it pays to compare listings carefully and move quickly on strong examples.

• Deal availability: 27.4% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Inventory: There are 503 listings available.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 14.48% compared with last year.

If you find a listing below $21,146 CAD, that's toward the low end of the year-round range and worth acting on quickly.

What is the 2022 Kia Seltos's resale value?

The current average of $21,149 CAD sits slightly below last year's $24,730 CAD.

That price movement suggests the market has cooled, which can work against future sellers if depreciation continues at the same pace. If you buy now, you may be entering at a more favourable point than someone who purchased when prices were higher. For a future seller, the key will be keeping the vehicle in strong condition and maintaining service records so it stands out in a competitive used market.

Vehicles with strong owner satisfaction ratings, like this model year's 4.83/5, tend to retain buyer demand, which supports resale value over time.

Is the 2022 Kia Seltos safe?

The 2022 Kia Seltos SX earns a Top Safety Pick rating from IIHS, and the Seltos earns a four-star overall rating from NHTSA, missing a top five-star rating due to a four-star performance in the front-passenger frontal-impact crash test.

It earns a 9/10 safety score from our experts.

Kia equips the Seltos with blind spot monitoring, rear cross-traffic alert, forward-collision avoidance, pedestrian detection, automatic emergency braking, lane-departure warning, lane-keeping assist, lane-centring assist, Rear Occupant Alert, Safe Exit Assist, and 911 Connect. Adaptive cruise control with stop-and-go and Highway Driving Assist are available only on the SX.

One important caveat is that not every trim qualifies for the same crash-test recognition, since the upgraded headlights are part of what helps the EX Premium and SX stand out.

Should I buy a 2022 Kia Seltos or consider a different year?

If you're weighing the 2022 against nearby model years, here's how to think about it:

Choose the 2022 if:

• 27.4% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 14.48% compared with last year.
• Owners rate it 4.83/5 — a strong satisfaction signal.
• The 2022 combines strong safety, useful space, and easy-to-use tech in a practical package.

Consider the 2021 if:

• At $19,425 CAD, the 2021 costs less than the current year's $21,149 CAD average.
• It launched with a high-quality cabin and the latest infotainment and safety technologies.

The bottom line: If you want the better-balanced buy, the 2022 is the stronger pick because it combines solid owner satisfaction, a softer price trend, and a broad feature set. If your priority is saving money upfront, the 2021 is the more budget-friendly path and still delivers the core Seltos strengths.
