Used 2022 Jeep Wrangler for Sale nearLongueuil, QC

How much does the 2022 Jeep Wrangler cost?

Prices have softened 10.72% compared to this time last year, making it a favourable time to shop this model year.

There are 820 listings available, which suggests you should have a reasonable amount of inventory to compare.

Is the 2022 Jeep Wrangler a good car?

Yes — with a 4.93/5 user rating and an expert rating of 5.5/10, it clearly resonates with owners even if the expert verdict is more measured. The standout strength is Look and feel at 9/10.

Owners consistently praise its iconic design, fun driving experience, and customisable features, and many also like the easy-to-use soft top and strong off-road capability. The trade-offs are just as clear: some shoppers feel it is overpriced, while gas mileage and certain basic design choices can be frustrating.

That fits the Wrangler’s use case well: you buy it for open-air character, trail ability, and personality, not for everyday polish. With 31.2% of listings marked as good or great deals, there is still some room to shop selectively.

Is the 2022 Jeep Wrangler reliable?

Owners rate it 4.93/5, a strong signal of long-term satisfaction. User feedback also points to a dependable, trouble-free ownership experience for many buyers, with long-term appeal tied to its rugged character and the confidence owners have in what it can do.

The expert drive notes that the Wrangler’s mechanical setup is built for durability-minded use, and its 4WD hardware supports the kind of rough conditions this SUV is meant to handle. The cost-effectiveness commentary also reinforces that this is a vehicle for buyers who understand and accept its compromises.

For used buyers, the main long-term risk is not outright fragility so much as living with the Wrangler’s well-known trade-offs in fuel use, comfort, and refinement.

What should I look for when buying a used 2022 Jeep Wrangler?

Key things to evaluate:

• Trim level: The core trims are Sport, Sport S, Sahara, and Rubicon, and the biggest differences are in equipment and capability rather than the basic Wrangler formula. Base versions can feel sparse, while higher trims and special editions add features such as different roof options, LED lighting, and more convenience equipment.
• Powertrain: You can shop for a turbocharged four-cylinder, a gasoline V6, a turbodiesel V6, a gas V8, or the Wrangler 4xe plug-in hybrid powertrain. The V6 and turbo-four come standard with a six-speed manual, while an eight-speed automatic is available, and the 3.6-litre V6 with eTorque mild-hybrid electrification adds some extra electric-motor help off the line.
• Safety package: The Safety Group adds blind-spot monitoring, rear cross-traffic alert, and rear parking sensors. The Advanced Safety Group adds adaptive cruise control, forward-collision warning, automatic emergency braking, and automatic high-beam headlights, but these features are not standard across the range.
• Infotainment: The standard setup uses a 7-inch touchscreen with Bluetooth, Apple CarPlay, and Android Auto. The larger 8.4-inch Uconnect system adds satellite radio, connected services including a WiFi hotspot, navigation, and an Alpine premium audio system.
• Fuel efficiency: Natural Resources Canada says the Wrangler Unlimited with the eTorque V6 should use 11.2 L/100 km in combined driving, while the test vehicle averaged 13.4 L/100 km on the evaluation route and 14.0 L/100 km over a week.

Which 2022 Jeep Wrangler trim should I buy?

The 2022 Jeep Wrangler is offered in 4 trim levels: Sport, Sport S, Sahara, and Rubicon.

Here's the short version:

• Sport: This is the entry point, so it makes the most sense if you want the Wrangler experience at the lowest starting point and plan to add only the options you truly need.
• Sport S: This is the best-value trim for most shoppers because it adds more everyday usability and is the basis for the test vehicle’s more complete equipment mix.
• Sahara: Choose this if you want a more comfort-leaning Wrangler with a more upscale feel and more available convenience features.
• Rubicon: Pick this if off-road capability is your priority, since it is the most trail-focused trim in the core lineup.

The Safety Group and Advanced Safety Group are worthwhile add-ons to look for, especially if you want the most useful driver-assistance features.

Is now a good time to buy a used 2022 Jeep Wrangler?

This is a moderate market for selective buyers, so it pays to compare listings carefully and move quickly on strong examples.

• Deal availability: 31.2% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Inventory: There are 820 listings available.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 10.72% compared with last year.

If you find a listing below $35,594 CAD, that's toward the low end of the year-round range and worth acting on quickly.

What is the 2022 Jeep Wrangler's resale value?

The current average of $35,594 CAD sits slightly below last year's $39,866 CAD.

That softer pricing suggests the Wrangler has become a bit more accessible for buyers, which can help keep demand healthy in the near term. For a future seller, that means resale value may depend heavily on condition, trim, and equipment rather than just the badge alone.

Because the Wrangler has a strong enthusiast following, well-kept examples with desirable features should remain easier to move than more ordinary SUVs. The market also tends to reward the trims and configurations that best match what shoppers want from a Wrangler.

Vehicles with strong owner satisfaction ratings, like this model year's 4.93/5, tend to retain buyer demand, which supports resale value over time.

Is the 2022 Jeep Wrangler safe?

The 2022 Jeep Wrangler earns a Marginal rating in IIHS small overlap front crash testing and a Marginal rating in the newer side-impact test. It also earns a three-star rating for rollover resistance from NHTSA.

It earns a 2/10 safety score from our experts.

The Safety Group adds blind-spot monitoring, rear cross-traffic alert, and rear parking sensors, while the Advanced Safety Group adds adaptive cruise control, forward-collision warning, automatic emergency braking, and automatic high-beam headlights. Those packages help, but they are optional rather than standard.

The key caveat is that the Wrangler’s crash-test results are a weak point, so safety should not be your main reason for buying one.

Should I buy a 2022 Jeep Wrangler or consider a different year?

If you're weighing the 2022 against nearby model years, here's how to think about it:

Choose the 2022 if:

• 31.2% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 10.72% compared with last year.
• Owners rate it 4.93/5 — a strong satisfaction signal.
• The 2022 adds a new air filtration system and a standard 4.88 axle ratio on V6 Rubicons.

Consider the 2023 if:

• At $38,694 CAD, the 2023 costs more than the current year's $35,594 CAD average.
• It keeps the Wrangler’s trail-first formula while refining the off-road hardware mix.

The bottom line: If you want the better value, the 2022 is the smarter buy because prices are softer and owner satisfaction is strong. If you are willing to spend more for a newer model year, the 2023 is the better path for shoppers who want the latest version of the same core Wrangler formula.
