What is the 2022 Honda Pilot's resale value?

The current average of $37,549 CAD sits slightly below last year's $42,322 CAD.

That price movement suggests the Pilot has become more accessible for buyers, but it also means future sellers may need to price competitively to stand out. If you buy at the current average or below, you may have less downside risk than someone who bought when prices were higher. Strong demand for roomy, family-focused SUVs can still support resale performance over time.

Vehicles with strong owner satisfaction ratings, like this model year's 4.8/5, tend to retain buyer demand, which supports resale value over time.

Should I buy a 2022 Honda Pilot or consider a different year?

If you're weighing the 2022 against nearby model years, here's how to think about it:

Choose the 2022 if:

• 27.2% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 11.28% compared with last year.
• Owners rate it 4.8/5 — a strong satisfaction signal.

Consider the 2021 if:

• At $32,004 CAD, the 2021 costs less than the current year's $37,549 CAD average.
• It prioritises utility, comfort, and everyday usefulness over flashy styling.

Consider the 2023 if:

• At $47,976 CAD, the 2023 costs more than the current year's $37,549 CAD average.
• It brings a fully redesigned look with more power and added convenience.

The bottom line: The 2022 is the best all-around pick if you want a well-liked, value-conscious Pilot with strong owner satisfaction and a softer used-market price. If your budget is tighter, the 2021 is the smarter secondary path; if you want the newer redesign and can stretch, the 2023 is the upgrade to chase.
