Is now a good time to buy a used 2022 GMC Sierra 1500 Limited?

This looks like a moderate, selective buyer’s market, so you can shop with some confidence if you’re willing to compare listings carefully.

• Deal availability: 30.6% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Inventory: There are 108 listings available.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 11.52% compared with last year.

If you find a listing below $43,178 CAD, that's toward the low end of the year-round range and worth acting on quickly.

What is the 2022 GMC Sierra 1500 Limited's resale value?

The current average of $43,486 CAD sits slightly below last year's $49,146 CAD.

For a future seller, that means the market has already moved down from where it was a year ago, so you may not see the same return you would have earlier. If you plan to sell later, keeping the truck in strong condition and pricing it competitively will matter more in a softer market. The current trend also suggests buyers have more leverage than they did a year ago.

Should I buy a 2022 GMC Sierra 1500 Limited or consider a different year?

If you're weighing the 2022 against nearby model years, here's how to think about it:

Choose the 2022 if:

• 30.6% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 11.52% compared with last year.

The bottom line: If the 2022 GMC Sierra 1500 Limited fits your needs, it makes sense to focus on well-priced examples now because the market has softened and there are still a fair number of attractive listings. If you’re especially price-sensitive, you may want to compare nearby model years and prioritise whichever one gives you the best combination of condition, mileage, and asking price.
