Used 2022 Chevrolet Traverse for Sale nearSaskatoon, SK

How much does the 2022 Chevrolet Traverse cost?

Prices have softened 16.87% compared to this time last year, making it a favourable time to shop this model year.

There are 131 listings available, which suggests you have a reasonable amount of inventory to compare.

Is the 2022 Chevrolet Traverse a good car?

Yes — the 2022 Chevrolet Traverse earns a 4.86/5 user rating and a 7.17/10 expert rating. The standout strength is Technology at 9/10.

Owners consistently praise the spacious interior, large cargo area, and helpful safety features. The user feedback also points to a powerful engine and comfortable seating as recurring strengths.

On the trade-off side, the expert review calls out cheap-feeling cabin materials, excessive float on uneven pavement, and noticeable noise. That said, the Traverse’s three-row layout and practical everyday usability make it a sensible fit if you want space without moving up to a larger, truck-based SUV.

With 29.8% of listings marked as good or great deals, there is still some room to find value if you shop carefully.

Is the 2022 Chevrolet Traverse reliable?

Owners rate it 4.86/5, a strong signal of long-term satisfaction.

The owner feedback highlights a dependable-feeling powertrain, a spacious cabin, and a generally trouble-free ownership experience. It also suggests that buyers tend to count on the Traverse for family duty and everyday use.

The expert review reinforces that sense of durability by describing the drivetrain and braking hardware as well matched to the vehicle’s mission. Chevrolet also includes a first scheduled maintenance visit at no charge, which helps reduce early ownership costs.

For used buyers, the main long-term risk is less about outright failure and more about whether the vehicle’s comfort, noise, and material quality will meet your expectations over time.

What should I look for when buying a used 2022 Chevrolet Traverse?

Key things to evaluate:

• Trim level: The base LS starts with a 7-inch touchscreen and standard AWD, but it is also the trim where the Safety Package is optional rather than standard. Higher trims add more equipment, blacked-out styling on RS, and more upscale features on Premier and High Country.
• Powertrain: You get one engine choice: a 3.6-litre V6 with 310 horsepower and 266 pound-feet of torque paired with a 9-speed automatic transmission. It is a good match for the Traverse’s size, and the SUV is rated to tow 2,268 kilograms when properly equipped.
• Safety package: Chevy Safety Assist is standard and includes forward-collision warning, pedestrian detection, automatic emergency braking, lane-departure warning, lane-keeping assist, automatic high-beam headlights, and a following-distance indicator. The optional Safety Package on LS adds rear parking assist sensors, blind-spot monitoring, lane-change assist, and rear cross-traffic alert; those features are standard on other trims. RS, Premier, and High Country also add adaptive cruise control, higher-speed automatic emergency braking, and rear pedestrian alert, while Premier and High Country get the vibrating Safety Alert Seat.
• Infotainment: LS uses a 7-inch touchscreen, while other versions get an 8-inch high-definition display. Wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto are standard, along with Bluetooth for two smartphones, connected services, and a Wi-Fi hotspot. Premier and High Country add an 8-inch digital instrumentation panel.
• Fuel efficiency: The official Natural Resources Canada fuel economy rating is 11.8 litres per 100 kilometres in combined driving, and the test vehicle returned 11.3 L/100 km on the evaluation loop.

Which 2022 Chevrolet Traverse trim should I buy?

The 2022 Chevrolet Traverse is offered in 6 trim levels: LS, LT, True North, RS, Premier, and High Country.

Here's the short version:

• LS: This is the entry point, and it gives you the core Traverse formula at the lowest price. It is the trim to consider if you want the space and standard AWD without paying for extras, but remember that some safety tech is optional here rather than standard.
• LT: This is the sensible step up if you want a better-equipped Traverse without jumping too far up the price ladder. It is also the trim where you can add some of the more advanced safety upgrades if you want them.
• True North: This trim sits in the middle of the lineup and is part of the main value path if you want more equipment than the base model without moving into the more style- or luxury-focused versions.
• RS: This is the best fit if you want the Traverse with the most distinctive look and a more upscale feel. It adds blacked-out trim, 20-inch wheels, and standard Bose audio, and it is the trim where the safety and driver-assistance package is especially well rounded.
• Premier: This is the best-value trim if you want a more premium experience. It adds the 8-inch digital instrument panel and the Safety Alert Seat, making it a strong choice for shoppers who want more comfort and tech.
• High Country: This is the top-end choice if you want the most content the Traverse offers. It builds on Premier with the same advanced safety upgrades and the most upscale positioning in the lineup.

Chevy Safety Assist is standard across the lineup, but the more advanced driver-assistance features are not fully standard on LS, so that is worth checking carefully when comparing used examples.

Is now a good time to buy a used 2022 Chevrolet Traverse?

This is a moderate market for selective buyers, so you can shop with some leverage if you are patient.

• Deal availability: 29.8% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Inventory: There are 131 listings available.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 16.87% compared with last year.

If you find a listing below $33,050 CAD, that's toward the low end of the year-round range and worth acting on quickly.

What is the 2022 Chevrolet Traverse's resale value?

The current average of $33,404 CAD sits slightly below last year's $40,184 CAD.

That softer pricing suggests the Traverse is currently in a buyer-friendly phase, which can work against future sellers if the market stays loose. If you buy now, you may be starting from a lower price base than owners did a year ago, which can help limit depreciation risk in the near term.

At the same time, the Traverse’s practical strengths should help it remain appealing to family buyers who want space and straightforward usability. If demand for roomy three-row SUVs stays steady, that should support resale better than a less versatile vehicle.

Vehicles with strong owner satisfaction ratings, like this model year's 4.86/5, tend to retain buyer demand, which supports resale value over time.

Is the 2022 Chevrolet Traverse safe?

The Insurance Institute for Highway Safety gives the Traverse Good ratings in most categories but Acceptable in the new side impact test and Poor for its new LED headlights and seatbelt reminders.

It earns an 8/10 safety score from our experts.

Chevy Safety Assist is standard on all trim levels and includes forward-collision warning, pedestrian detection, automatic emergency braking, lane-departure warning, lane-keeping assist, automatic high-beam headlights, and a following-distance indicator. The optional Safety Package on LS adds rear parking assist sensors, blind-spot monitoring, lane-change assist, and rear cross-traffic alert, and those features are standard on the other trims.

Higher trims add adaptive cruise control, higher-speed automatic emergency braking, and rear pedestrian alert, while Premier and High Country get the vibrating Safety Alert Seat. One limitation to keep in mind is that the Traverse does not offer a more advanced system that combines adaptive cruise control with lane-centring assist.

Should I buy a 2022 Chevrolet Traverse or consider a different year?

If you're weighing the 2022 against nearby model years, here's how to think about it:

Choose the 2022 if:

• 29.8% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 16.87% compared with last year.
• Owners rate it 4.86/5 — a strong satisfaction signal.
• The 2022 brings a light restyle, updated colour choices, and standard Chevy Safety Assist across the lineup.

The bottom line: If you want a roomy three-row SUV with strong everyday usability and a softer used-market price, the 2022 Traverse is the year to focus on. If you are especially price-sensitive, you can also compare nearby model years, but the 2022 stands out for its updated look, broad safety equipment, and current market value.
