Is the 2021 Toyota C-HR reliable?

Owners rate it 4.8/5, a strong signal of long-term satisfaction.

The review summary also points to a dependable ownership experience, with buyers highlighting fuel efficiency and overall satisfaction with the vehicle over time. That said, you should still check maintenance records and confirm the features you want, since some owners note missing conveniences rather than mechanical concerns.

For used buyers, the main long-term risk is less about broad reliability and more about whether the specific example has been cared for properly and equipped to your liking.

Is now a good time to buy a used 2021 Toyota C-HR?

This looks like a moderate, selective buyer’s market, so you can shop carefully without feeling rushed.

• Deal availability: 32.1% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Inventory: There are 112 listings available.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 9.20% compared with last year.

What is the 2021 Toyota C-HR's resale value?

The current average of $23,569 CAD sits slightly below last year's $25,957 CAD.

That softer pricing can work in your favour if you’re buying now, but it also means future resale gains may be more limited unless the market tightens again. If you plan to sell later, the current trend suggests you should focus on buying well and keeping the vehicle in strong condition. Well-kept examples should remain easier to move than neglected ones.

Vehicles with strong owner satisfaction ratings, like this model year's 4.8/5, tend to retain buyer demand, which supports resale value over time.

Should I buy a 2021 Toyota C-HR or consider a different year?

If you're weighing the 2021 against nearby model years, here's how to think about it:

Choose the 2021 if:

• 32.1% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 9.20% compared with last year.
• Owners rate it 4.8/5 — a strong satisfaction signal.

The bottom line: The 2021 is a sensible choice if you want a well-liked used C-HR with softer pricing and enough inventory to compare options. If you’re especially price-sensitive, you can also keep an eye on nearby model years and compare the specific listing condition, but the 2021 stands out as a balanced pick when you want strong owner satisfaction and a market that’s currently more favourable to buyers.
