Is the 2021 Porsche Macan a good car?

Yes — the 2021 Porsche Macan earns a 4.5/5 user rating, which points to strong owner satisfaction.

Drivers consistently praise its luxurious interior, handling prowess, and performance. Many also highlight its comfort and smooth driving experience, and the Macan’s compact-SUV format makes it appealing if you want a premium-feeling vehicle that still works as a practical daily driver.

That said, some owners wish for more engine punch for the money, so it tends to suit you best if driving enjoyment matters more than maximum space or outright practicality. With 33.9% of listings marked as good or great deals, you have a decent chance of finding a competitive offer.

Is the 2021 Porsche Macan reliable?

Owners rate it 4.5/5, a strong signal of long-term satisfaction.

The owner feedback points to a dependable, trouble-free ownership experience for many drivers, with comfort and smoothness showing up as recurring strengths. That kind of long-term praise matters if you want a used luxury SUV you can count on.

For used buyers, the main long-term ownership risk is less about satisfaction and more about making sure the specific vehicle has been maintained properly.

What is the 2021 Porsche Macan's resale value?

The current average of $47,712 CAD sits slightly below last year's $54,972 CAD.

That price movement suggests the market has become more favourable for buyers, but it also means future sellers may need to price competitively to stand out. If you buy well now, you may have a better chance of limiting depreciation pressure later. The current range also gives you a useful benchmark for judging whether a listing is priced aggressively or too high.

Vehicles with strong owner satisfaction ratings, like this model year's 4.5/5, tend to retain buyer demand, which supports resale value over time.

Should I buy a 2021 Porsche Macan or consider a different year?

If you're weighing the 2021 against nearby model years, here's how to think about it:

Choose the 2021 if:

• 33.9% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 13.21% compared with last year.
• Owners rate it 4.5/5 — a strong satisfaction signal.

Consider the 2022 if:

• At $53,651 CAD, the 2022 costs more than the current year's $47,712 CAD average.
• It adds fresh updates and a more polished overall feel.

The bottom line:
Choose the 2021 if you want the stronger value play and are comfortable shopping the used market carefully. Consider the 2022 if you are willing to pay more for a newer version with added updates, while price-sensitive buyers should focus on the 2021’s softer pricing and available deal share.
