Is the 2021 Porsche Macan a good car?

Yes — the 2021 Porsche Macan earns a 4.5/5 user rating, which points to strong owner satisfaction.

Drivers consistently praise its luxurious interior, handling prowess, and performance. Many also highlight its comfort and smooth driving experience, and the Macan’s compact-SUV format makes it appealing if you want a premium-feeling vehicle that still feels engaging to drive. Is the 2021 Porsche Macan reliable?

Owners rate it 4.5/5, a strong signal of long-term satisfaction.

The owner feedback points to a dependable, trouble-free ownership experience for many drivers, with satisfaction that holds up over time. That kind of long-term confidence matters if you want a used luxury SUV you can count on rather than one that feels risky to own.

For used buyers, the main long-term ownership risk is paying too much for a vehicle that may not deliver the space or performance you expect for the price.

Is now a good time to buy a used 2021 Porsche Macan?

This looks like a moderate, selective buyer’s market, so you can shop carefully and still find value if you move decisively on the right listing.

• Deal availability: 27.3% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Inventory: There are 121 listings available.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 13.50% compared with last year.

If you find a listing below $47,741 CAD, that's toward the low end of the year-round range and worth acting on quickly.

What is the 2021 Porsche Macan's resale value?

The current average of $47,788 CAD sits slightly below last year's $55,243 CAD.

That price movement suggests the market has become more favourable for buyers, but it also means future sellers may face a softer resale environment than owners saw a year ago. If you buy at today’s average, your room for appreciation is limited, so condition, mileage, and trim will matter more when it comes time to sell. The good news is that a well-kept Macan with strong demand can still hold appeal among shoppers looking for a premium compact SUV.

Vehicles with strong owner satisfaction ratings, like this model year's 4.5/5, tend to retain buyer demand, which supports resale value over time.

Should I buy a 2021 Porsche Macan or consider a different year?

If you're weighing the 2021 against nearby model years, here's how to think about it:

Choose the 2021 if:

• 27.3% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 13.50% compared with last year.
• Owners rate it 4.5/5 — a strong satisfaction signal.

Consider the 2022 if:

• At $54,208 CAD, the 2022 costs more than the current year's $47,788 CAD average.
• It adds several updates that keep the cabin and design feeling fresher.

The bottom line:
Choose the 2021 if you want the stronger value proposition and are comfortable shopping the market for a well-priced example. If you can stretch your budget and want the newer model’s updates, the 2022 is the better pick; if price matters most, the 2021 is the smarter starting point.
