Is now a good time to buy a used 2021 Nissan LEAF?

This looks like a moderate, selective buyer’s market, so you can afford to compare listings carefully before moving quickly.

The current average of $20,364 CAD sits slightly below last year's $20,480 CAD.

That small decline suggests the market has been fairly stable, which can help future sellers because it points to predictable pricing rather than sharp swings. If you buy at a sensible price and keep the vehicle in strong condition, you may be better positioned when it comes time to sell. The limited inventory can also support resale interest when well-priced examples appear.

Vehicles with strong owner satisfaction ratings, like this model year's 5/5, tend to retain buyer demand, which supports resale value over time.

Should I buy a 2021 Nissan LEAF or consider a different year?

If you're weighing the 2021 against nearby model years, here's how to think about it:

Choose the 2021 if:

• 38.7% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Price trend: Prices have held steady compared with last year.
• Owners rate it 5/5 — a strong satisfaction signal.

The bottom line: The 2021 is a sensible choice if you want a used LEAF with stable pricing and solid owner feedback. If your priority is stretching your budget, a nearby year with a lower average price may be worth considering, but the 2021 stands out as the more balanced pick for shoppers who value confidence and predictable market conditions.
