Used 2021 Kia Telluride for Sale nearKingston, ON

How much does the 2021 Kia Telluride cost?

Prices have softened 18.98% compared to this time last year, making it a favourable time to shop this model year.

There are 122 listings available, which suggests you should have a reasonable amount of inventory to compare.

Is the 2021 Kia Telluride a good car?

Yes — with a 4.89/5 user rating and a 9.33/10 expert rating, the 2021 Kia Telluride looks like a strong pick if you want a three-row midsize SUV that blends family-friendly space with a premium feel. The model scores 10/10 across Form and function and Cost effectiveness.

Owners consistently praise its safety features, spacious interior, and great value for money, and they also like the modern design and advanced technology. In use, that lines up well with the Telluride’s role as a three-row family SUV that aims to feel more upscale than its price suggests.

Good and great deals account for 34.4% of listings, so there is still some room to shop selectively.

Is the 2021 Kia Telluride reliable?

Owners rate it 4.89/5, a strong signal of long-term satisfaction.

The owner feedback also points to a vehicle that feels dependable in daily use, with praise centred on safety, spaciousness, and value. That kind of repeat satisfaction matters if you want a used SUV you can count on for family duty over the long term.

Kia’s 5-year/100,000-kilometre powertrain warranty, 5-year/100,000-kilometre bumper-to-bumper warranty, and 5-year/unlimited-kilometre roadside assistance plan add some ownership reassurance, especially if you are buying a used example that still has warranty coverage left.

For used buyers, the main long-term risk is that some owners mention sluggishness from a stop and limited storage space for personal items, so you should make sure the vehicle still suits your day-to-day needs.

What should I look for when buying a used 2021 Kia Telluride?

Key things to evaluate:

• Trim level: The EX gives you significant value, while the SX Limited adds premium stitched Nappa leather, a simulated suede headliner, a head-up display, and heated and ventilated front- and second-row seats. The SX Limited Nightsky Edition adds the blacked-out look with gloss black 20-inch wheels and a unique grille insert. If you want the most luxury-like feel, the SX Limited is the standout choice.
• Powertrain: You get a single powertrain: a 3.8-litre V6 with an eight-speed automatic transmission, 291 horsepower, and 262 lb-ft of torque. The AWD system includes a low-speed Lock function, and the SUV’s 20.3 centimetres of ground clearance helps it handle low-grip conditions.
• Safety package: Every version gets blind-spot warning, lane-maintenance technology with lane-keeping assistance, forward-collision avoidance with pedestrian- and cyclist detection, rear cross-traffic alert, a driver-monitoring system, automatic emergency braking, adaptive cruise control, Rear Occupant Alert, and Safe Exit Assist. SX trim adds front parking sensors, a surround-view camera system, and Blind-Spot View Monitor.
• Infotainment: Every 2021 Telluride has a 10.25-inch touchscreen with navigation, Apple CarPlay, Android Auto, SiriusXM satellite radio, wireless smartphone charging, and the ability to pair two smartphones to Bluetooth at once.
• Fuel efficiency: Natural Resources Canada says the Telluride should return 11.3 litres per 100 kilometres in combined driving, and the test vehicle averaged 11.5 L/100 km.

Which 2021 Kia Telluride trim should I buy?

The 2021 Kia Telluride is offered in 4 trim levels: EX, SX, SX Limited, and SX Limited Nightsky Edition.

Here's the short version:

• EX: This is the value pick. It gives you the core Telluride experience with standard AWD, the full safety suite, and the 10.25-inch infotainment setup, so it should suit you well if you want the best balance of equipment and price.
• SX: Choose this if you want a more upscale feel and the added luxury of the standard 10-speaker Harman Kardon audio system, plus the SX-only safety upgrades such as front parking sensors, a surround-view camera system, and Blind-Spot View Monitor.
• SX Limited: This is the best choice if you want the most premium cabin. It adds Nappa leather, a simulated suede headliner, a head-up display, and heated and ventilated front- and second-row seats.
• SX Limited Nightsky Edition: Pick this if you want the SX Limited experience with a darker appearance package and the new-for-2021 special-edition styling.

The SX Limited and Nightsky Edition trims also add self-leveling rear suspension.

Is now a good time to buy a used 2021 Kia Telluride?

This looks like a moderate, selective buyer’s market, so you can shop with some confidence if you are willing to compare listings carefully.

• Deal availability: 34.4% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Inventory: There are 122 listings available.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 18.98% compared with last year.

If you find a listing below $29,244 CAD, that's toward the low end of the year-round range and worth acting on quickly.

What is the 2021 Kia Telluride's resale value?

The current average of $30,307 CAD sits slightly below last year's $37,408 CAD.

That price drop suggests the Telluride has become more accessible on the used market, which can be good news if you are buying now. For a future seller, though, it means you should not expect the same level of price retention that stronger resale leaders typically enjoy.

Even so, the Telluride’s broad appeal, strong equipment list, and family-friendly reputation should help support demand. If you keep the vehicle in good condition and choose a desirable trim, you may be better positioned when it is time to sell.

Vehicles with strong owner satisfaction ratings, like this model year's 4.89/5, tend to retain buyer demand, which supports resale value over time.

Is the 2021 Kia Telluride safe?

The 2021 Telluride earns a Top Safety Pick rating from the Insurance Institute for Highway Safety (IIHS), and it earns four-star ratings for frontal-impact results for both the driver and front passenger, along with an overall five-star rating from NHTSA.

It earns a 9/10 safety score from our experts.

You get a long list of standard driver-assistance features on every version, including blind-spot warning, lane-maintenance technology with lane-keeping assistance, forward-collision avoidance with pedestrian- and cyclist detection, rear cross-traffic alert, a driver-monitoring system, automatic emergency braking, adaptive cruise control, Rear Occupant Alert, and Safe Exit Assist.

SX trim adds front parking sensors, a surround-view camera system, and Blind-Spot View Monitor. If you are comparing trims, that means the higher grades bring extra visibility and parking help, while the core safety suite is already standard across the lineup.

Should I buy a 2021 Kia Telluride or consider a different year?

If you're weighing the 2021 against nearby model years, here's how to think about it:

Choose the 2021 if:

• 34.4% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 18.98% compared with last year.
• Owners rate it 4.89/5 — a strong satisfaction signal.
• The 2021 model year’s main highlight is the debut of the SX Limited Nightsky Edition.

The bottom line: If you want a well-equipped three-row SUV with strong owner satisfaction and a lower used price than a year ago, the 2021 Telluride is a sensible choice. If you are especially price-sensitive, keep shopping the market for a listing near the low end of the range, but if you want the best mix of value, equipment, and broad appeal, this model year is easy to recommend.
