How much does the 2021 Kia Sportage cost?

Prices have softened 16.03% compared to this time last year, making it a favourable time to shop this model year.

There are 272 listings available, which suggests a decent amount of inventory for you to compare.

Is the 2021 Kia Sportage a good car?

Yes — owners rate it 4.8/5, which points to strong overall satisfaction. You get a mix of power, a smooth ride, and a broad feature set, and the available AWD is a recurring highlight for added confidence in changing weather. For you, that makes it a sensible compact SUV if you want everyday comfort and useful capability more than maximum efficiency or class-leading cargo space. With 29.4% of listings marked as good or great deals, there is still room to shop carefully.

Is the 2021 Kia Sportage reliable?

Owners rate it 4.8/5, a strong signal of long-term satisfaction.

The owner feedback also points to a reliable and comfortable vehicle that many drivers feel they can count on for everyday use. That kind of praise matters if you want a used SUV that should feel dependable over time. For used buyers, the main long-term ownership risk is less about outright reliability and more about accepting a few comfort and convenience compromises.

Is now a good time to buy a used 2021 Kia Sportage?

This looks like a moderate market, so you can shop selectively without expecting every listing to be a bargain.

• Deal availability: 29.4% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Inventory: There are 272 listings available.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 16.03% compared with last year.

If you find a listing below $18,902 CAD, that's toward the low end of the year-round range and worth acting on quickly.

What is the 2021 Kia Sportage's resale value?

The current average of $18,902 CAD sits slightly below last year's $22,511 CAD.

That price movement suggests the Sportage has become more accessible for buyers, which can also shape what future sellers should expect. If you buy at today's average, you may have less immediate depreciation pressure than someone who bought when prices were higher. The model's broad appeal and steady owner satisfaction should help support demand when it is time to sell.

Vehicles with strong owner satisfaction ratings, like this model year's 4.8/5, tend to retain buyer demand, which supports resale value over time.

Should I buy a 2021 Kia Sportage or consider a different year?

If you're weighing the 2021 against nearby model years, here's how to think about it:

Choose the 2021 if:

• 29.4% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 16.03% compared with last year.
• Owners rate it 4.8/5 — a strong satisfaction signal.

Consider the 2022 if:

• At $21,391 CAD, the 2022 costs more than the current year's $18,902 CAD average.
• It adds a more modern trim mix and available turbocharged performance.

The bottom line: Choose the 2021 if you want the better value and a strong owner satisfaction profile. If you are price-sensitive, the 2021 is the smarter buy; if you want newer-year updates and are willing to pay more, the 2022 is worth a look.
