Used 2021 Kia Sportage for Sale nearCalgary, AB

How much does the 2021 Kia Sportage cost?

Prices have softened 16.04% compared to this time last year, making it a favourable time to shop this model year.

There are 292 listings available, which gives you a modest amount of choice in the used market.

Is the 2021 Kia Sportage a good car?

Yes — the 2021 Kia Sportage earns a 4.8/5 user rating, which points to strong owner satisfaction. Owners consistently praise its power, smooth ride, and feature-rich feel, and many also like the AWD capability for everyday use. For you, that makes it a sensible pick if you want a comfortable compact SUV with a broad appeal for commuting and general family duty. With 31.5% of listings marked as good or great deals, there is still some room to shop selectively.

Is the 2021 Kia Sportage reliable?

Owners rate it 4.8/5, a strong signal of long-term satisfaction.

The owner feedback also leans on words like reliable, comfortable, and trouble-free in everyday use, especially for buyers who value AWD confidence and a smooth ride. That kind of response suggests the Sportage has earned trust over time rather than relying on one standout feature.

For used buyers, the main long-term ownership risk is less about satisfaction and more about finding a well-kept example that has been maintained properly.

Is now a good time to buy a used 2021 Kia Sportage?

This is a moderate market, so you can shop carefully without feeling rushed, but the better listings may still move quickly.

• Deal availability: 31.5% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Inventory: There are 292 listings available.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 16.04% compared with last year.

If you find a listing below $19,128 CAD, that's toward the low end of the year-round range and worth acting on quickly.

What is the 2021 Kia Sportage's resale value?

The current average of $19,128 CAD sits slightly below last year's $22,783 CAD.

That price movement suggests the Sportage has become more accessible for buyers, which can make it harder for a future seller to command a premium unless the vehicle is especially well equipped or exceptionally clean. The current market also shows a fairly defined range, so condition and mileage will matter a lot when you eventually resell.

Vehicles with strong owner satisfaction ratings, like this model year's 4.8/5, tend to retain buyer demand, which supports resale value over time.

Should I buy a 2021 Kia Sportage or consider a different year?

If you're weighing the 2021 against nearby model years, here's how to think about it:

Choose the 2021 if:

• 31.5% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 16.04% compared with last year.
• Owners rate it 4.8/5 — a strong satisfaction signal.

Consider the 2022 if:

• At $21,928 CAD, the 2022 costs more than the current year's $19,128 CAD average.
• It adds a more modern-feeling trim lineup and a standard panoramic sunroof on the EX.

The bottom line: You should start with the 2021 if value matters most, because it offers a lower average price and strong owner approval. If you want to spend more for a newer-year feel and a few added features, the 2022 is the better secondary path.
