Is the 2021 Jeep Grand Cherokee L a good car?

Yes — the 2021 Jeep Grand Cherokee L earns a 4.89/5 user rating, which points to strong owner satisfaction. Drivers consistently praise its comfortable ride, spacious cabin, and high-tech features, and many also like its handling, snow performance, and family-friendly value. That fits well if you want a three-row SUV with room for people and gear, plus a more upscale feel than many mainstream family haulers. Is the 2021 Jeep Grand Cherokee L reliable?

Owners rate it 4.89/5, a strong signal of long-term satisfaction.

The user feedback also points to a dependable ownership experience, with drivers highlighting comfort, space, and features they can count on day to day. That kind of praise suggests the vehicle has built trust with owners over time, especially for family use and winter driving. For used buyers, the main long-term ownership risk is making sure the specific vehicle you choose has been maintained properly and still feels solid in everyday use.

Is now a good time to buy a used 2021 Jeep Grand Cherokee L?

This looks like a moderate, selective buyer’s market, so you can shop carefully and still find worthwhile options.

• Deal availability: 32.2% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Inventory: There are 143 listings available.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 16.73% compared with last year.

If you find a listing below $34,929 CAD, that's toward the low end of the year-round range and worth acting on quickly.

What is the 2021 Jeep Grand Cherokee L's resale value?

The current average of $34,929 CAD sits slightly below last year's $41,947 CAD.

That price movement suggests the market has already adjusted downward, which can help you buy more confidently now but may limit near-term upside if you plan to resell soon. If you purchase at a strong price, you reduce the risk of taking a bigger depreciation hit later. Demand should still be supported by the model’s family-friendly space and premium feel, especially among shoppers looking for a three-row SUV with a distinct personality.

Vehicles with strong owner satisfaction ratings, like this model year's 4.89/5, tend to retain buyer demand, which supports resale value over time.

Should I buy a 2021 Jeep Grand Cherokee L or consider a different year?

If you're weighing the 2021 against nearby model years, here's how to think about it:

Choose the 2021 if:

• 32.2% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 16.73% compared with last year.
• Owners rate it 4.89/5 — a strong satisfaction signal.

Consider the 2022 if:

• At $36,623 CAD, the 2022 costs more than the current year's $34,929 CAD average.
• It feels more polished and luxury-minded.

The bottom line: Choose the 2021 if you want the better value and are comfortable shopping the used market carefully. If you want a more refined feel and can stretch your budget, the 2022 is the better secondary path.
