Is the 2021 Jeep Grand Cherokee L a good car?

Yes — the 4.89/5 user rating points to strong owner satisfaction. Drivers consistently praise its comfortable ride, spacious cabin, and high-tech features, and many also like its handling, snow performance, and family-friendly value. That fits well if you want a three-row SUV with room for six adults, or seven with the available second-row bench, plus the added appeal of real off-road capability. Is the 2021 Jeep Grand Cherokee L reliable?

Owners rate it 4.89/5, a strong signal of long-term satisfaction.

The owner feedback points to a vehicle that feels dependable in everyday use, with comfort and capability that owners can count on. The repeated praise for ride quality, snow performance, and family usefulness suggests it has the kind of all-round competence that supports confidence over time. For used buyers, the main long-term ownership risk is finding a well-kept example with the features and condition you expect.

Is now a good time to buy a used 2021 Jeep Grand Cherokee L?

This is a moderate, selective buyer’s market, so you can shop carefully and still find worthwhile listings.

• Deal availability: 34.2% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Inventory: There are 146 listings available.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 16.93% compared with last year.

If you find a listing below $35,067 CAD, that's toward the low end of the year-round range and worth acting on quickly.

What is the 2021 Jeep Grand Cherokee L's resale value?

The current average of $35,067 CAD sits slightly below last year's $42,216 CAD.

That softer pricing suggests the model has already absorbed a meaningful amount of depreciation, which can help future buyers but may limit near-term upside for a seller. If you buy at the right price now, you may be starting from a more stable value position than someone who bought when prices were higher. Strong demand for well-equipped, family-friendly three-row SUVs can still support used-market interest if your vehicle is clean and well maintained.

Vehicles with strong owner satisfaction ratings, like this model year's 4.89/5, tend to retain buyer demand, which supports resale value over time.

Should I buy a 2021 Jeep Grand Cherokee L or consider a different year?

If you're weighing the 2021 against nearby model years, here's how to think about it:

Choose the 2021 if:

• 34.2% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 16.93% compared with last year.
• Owners rate it 4.89/5 — a strong satisfaction signal.

Consider the 2022 if:

• At $36,882 CAD, the 2022 costs more than the current year's $35,067 CAD average.
• It feels more polished and more luxury-focused overall.

The bottom line:
Choose the 2021 if you want the stronger value play, especially if you care most about space, comfort, and capability. If you can stretch your budget and want a more upscale-feeling alternative, the 2022 is worth a look, but price-sensitive buyers should start with the 2021.
