Used 2021 Chevrolet Tahoe for Sale nearPickering, ON

How much does the 2021 Chevrolet Tahoe cost?

Prices have softened 15.64% compared to this time last year, making it a favourable time to shop this model year.

There are 66 listings available, which suggests a modest amount of inventory for shoppers comparing used Tahoe options.

Is the 2021 Chevrolet Tahoe a good car?

Yes — the 2021 Chevrolet Tahoe earns a 4.78/5 user rating and an 8.5/10 expert rating. The standout strength is Form and function at 10/10.

Owners consistently praise the Tahoe’s spaciousness, modern design, advanced technology, comfortable ride, and reliability. That lines up well with the Tahoe’s role as a full-size SUV for buyers who want more usable space and a more polished overall package than the previous generation delivered.

The model-year redesign also matters here: it was meant to address earlier shortcomings while improving driving dynamics, technology, and innovation. For you, that means a large SUV that feels more modern and more compelling than before, especially if you need family-friendly space and capability.

Only 25.8% of listings are priced as good or great deals, so the market still rewards careful shopping.

Is the 2021 Chevrolet Tahoe reliable?

Owners rate it 4.78/5, a strong signal of long-term satisfaction.

The owner feedback points to reliability, and shoppers also describe the Tahoe as a vehicle they can count on over time. That kind of praise matters in a full-size SUV, where long-term dependability is part of the ownership equation.

The expert review also supports that impression by describing the Tahoe’s drivetrain as refined and effortlessly capable, with the 5.3-litre V8 and 10-speed automatic proving well matched for everyday driving and highway use. The Tahoe’s redesign also brings a more modern platform and improved ride quality, which can help reduce the sense of compromise that older versions had.

If you’re buying used, the main long-term risk is cost: a large, complex SUV can be expensive to own if it has been heavily optioned or not maintained carefully.

What should I look for when buying a used 2021 Chevrolet Tahoe?

Key things to evaluate:

• Trim level: The base LS and LT differ in grille treatment, while the RST adds a blacked-out look and 22-inch wheels, the Z71 brings a rugged appearance with red tow hooks, a skid plate, and all-terrain tyres, the Premier adds chrome accents and polished wheels, and the High Country gets the most upscale exterior treatment. The base LS uses cloth seats, while leather starts on the LT.
• Powertrain: You get a 5.3-litre V8 as standard, a 6.2-litre V8 exclusive to High Country, and a turbocharged 3.0-litre diesel inline six-cylinder that was available on most versions except the Z71. The diesel is the efficiency play, while the V8s deliver the traditional Tahoe character.
• Safety package: Standard equipment includes Teen Driver, a rear-seat reminder system, forward collision alert with pedestrian detection, and low-speed automatic emergency braking. Higher trims or options can add lane-departure warning, lane-keeping assistance, blind-spot warning, rear cross-traffic warning, and rear pedestrian detection, while Premier and High Country get adaptive cruise control, high-speed automatic emergency braking, a Safety Alert Seat, and an upgraded blind-spot warning system with trailer coverage.
• Infotainment: The standard 10.2-inch touchscreen includes over-the-air update capability, wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, voice recognition, and Chevrolet Connected Services. Navigation and Bose audio upgrades are available.
• Fuel efficiency: The turbo-diesel promises an improvement of roughly 3.5 litres per 100 kilometres in combined driving, while the official Natural Resources Canada estimate for a Tahoe 4WD is 13.5 litres per 100 kilometres in combined driving.

Which 2021 Chevrolet Tahoe trim should I buy?

The 2021 Chevrolet Tahoe is offered in 6 trim levels: LS, LT, RST, Z71, Premier, High Country.

Here's the short version:

• LS: This is the entry point, and it gives you the redesigned Tahoe experience at the lowest price, but you’ll want to check whether the equipment level is enough for your needs because the cabin starts more simply here.
• LT: This is the best-value choice for many shoppers because it adds leather seating and keeps the Tahoe’s core strengths intact without pushing you into the pricier luxury trims.
• RST: Choose this if you want the sportier appearance package, including the blacked-out look and 22-inch wheels.
• Z71: This is the right pick if you want the rugged trim with off-road-oriented hardware such as red tow hooks, a skid plate, all-terrain tyres, and a redesigned front end for improved off-roading capability.
• Premier: Step up here if you want a more upscale Tahoe with chrome accents, polished wheels, and access to more advanced safety equipment.
• High Country: This is the top luxury-oriented trim, with the most premium exterior treatment and the exclusive 6.2-litre V8.

For safety-package shoppers, note that the most advanced driver-assistance features are reserved for Premier and High Country trims.

Is now a good time to buy a used 2021 Chevrolet Tahoe?

This looks like a moderate, selective buyer’s market, so it makes sense to compare listings carefully and move quickly on the right one.

• Deal availability: 25.8% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Inventory: There are 66 listings available.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 15.64% compared with last year.

If you find a listing below $51,856 CAD, that's toward the low end of the year-round range and worth acting on quickly.

What is the 2021 Chevrolet Tahoe's resale value?

The current average of $51,856 CAD sits slightly below last year's $61,468 CAD.

That price movement suggests the Tahoe has already absorbed a meaningful amount of depreciation, which can be helpful if you’re buying now and thinking ahead to resale. For a future seller, the current softer market means there may be less room for quick appreciation, but it also means the vehicle is entering ownership at a more realistic used-market price.

Because the Tahoe is a high-demand full-size SUV with strong utility, its value should remain tied to how well it serves family and towing needs. Well-equipped examples in desirable trims are likely to hold buyer interest better than stripped-down versions.

Vehicles with strong owner satisfaction ratings, like this model year's 4.78/5, tend to retain buyer demand, which supports resale value over time.

Is the 2021 Chevrolet Tahoe safe?

It earns a 9/10 safety score from our experts.

Standard safety equipment includes Teen Driver, a rear-seat reminder system, forward collision alert with pedestrian detection, and low-speed automatic emergency braking. You also get OnStar Safety & Security capability, and higher trims or options can add lane-departure warning, lane-keeping assistance, blind-spot warning, rear cross-traffic warning, and rear pedestrian detection.

Premier and High Country trims add the most advanced safety content, including adaptive cruise control, high-speed automatic emergency braking, a Safety Alert Seat, and an upgraded blind-spot warning system with trailer coverage. The available surround-view camera is also worth considering because it helps a lot in tight spaces.

Should I buy a 2021 Chevrolet Tahoe or consider a different year?

If you're weighing the 2021 against nearby model years, here's how to think about it:

Choose the 2021 if:

• 25.8% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 15.64% compared with last year.
• Owners rate it 4.78/5 — a strong satisfaction signal.
• The 2021 model year is the redesigned Tahoe, with major gains in driving dynamics, technology, and innovation.

The bottom line: If you want the most modern version of this generation, the 2021 Tahoe is the one to target because the redesign meaningfully improves space, comfort, and tech. If you’re more price-sensitive, a nearby year may still make sense, but the 2021 is the better all-around choice when you want the updated package and can find a well-priced example.
