How much does the 2021 BMW 3 Series cost?

Is the 2021 BMW 3 Series a good car?

Yes — the 2021 BMW 3 Series earns a 5/5 user rating, which points to very strong owner satisfaction.

Owners consistently praise the sharp handling, powerful performance, and luxurious interior. The review summary also highlights the safety features and fuel economy, while trunk space comes up as another practical strength.

That lines up well with its role as a premium sedan that can suit you whether you want an engaging daily driver, a more efficient plug-in hybrid, or a higher-performance version. With 32.6% of listings marked as good or great deals, you also have a decent chance of finding a competitive offer.

Is the 2021 BMW 3 Series reliable?

Owners rate it 5/5, a strong signal of long-term satisfaction.

The owner feedback points to a car that feels dependable and trouble-free for many drivers, with praise centred on the overall ownership experience and the confidence it inspires over time. That said, a few owners mentioned audio-system concerns and mechanical noises, so it still pays to inspect any used example carefully.

For used buyers, the main long-term risk is less about the model’s core appeal and more about how well a specific car has been maintained.

Is now a good time to buy a used 2021 BMW 3 Series?

This looks like a moderate, selective buyer’s market, so you can afford to be choosy without waiting forever.

• Deal availability: 32.6% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Inventory: There are 144 listings available.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 18.04% compared with last year.

If you find a listing below $32,306 CAD, that's toward the low end of the year-round range and worth acting on quickly.

What is the 2021 BMW 3 Series's resale value?

The current average of $32,306 CAD sits slightly below last year's $39,418 CAD.

That price movement suggests the market has already adjusted downward, which can help you buy more confidently now but may also limit upside if you plan to resell soon. If you purchase at the current average or below, you may have less depreciation pressure than someone who bought when prices were higher.

Vehicles with strong owner satisfaction ratings, like this model year's 5/5, tend to retain buyer demand, which supports resale value over time.

Should I buy a 2021 BMW 3 Series or consider a different year?

If you're weighing the 2021 against nearby model years, here's how to think about it:

Choose the 2021 if:

• 32.6% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 18.04% compared with last year.
• Owners rate it 5/5 — a strong satisfaction signal.

Consider the 2020 if:

• At $32,942 CAD, the 2020 costs more than the current year's $32,306 CAD average.
• It offers a well-rounded, fun-to-drive premium-sedan feel.

Consider the 2022 if:

• At $34,974 CAD, the 2022 costs more than the current year's $32,306 CAD average.
• It adds minor equipment refinements while keeping the core formula intact.

The bottom line: The 2021 is the best all-around starting point if you want strong owner satisfaction, a lower average price than nearby years, and a healthy pool of listings to compare. If you are especially price-sensitive, the 2020 can still make sense, but the 2021 gives you the better balance of value and buyer appeal.
