Used 2020 Toyota Tundra for Sale nearQuebec, QC

How much does the 2020 Toyota Tundra cost?

Prices have softened 12.55% compared to this time last year, making it a favourable time to shop this model year.

There are 61 listings available, which suggests a modest amount of inventory for you to compare.

Is the 2020 Toyota Tundra a good car?

Yes — you’re looking at a 4.79/5 user-rated truck with an expert rating of 5.33/10. The standout strength is Look and feel at 8/10.

Drivers consistently praise its reliability, power, and spacious interior, and many describe it as sturdy, dependable, and well suited to long-term ownership. The overview also points to its long-term dependability and durability as major reasons to consider it.

The trade-offs are clear: the expert notes poor fuel economy and a noisy, uncompetitive overall package in several areas. For you, that means the Tundra makes the most sense if you value durability, space, and a proven work-truck character more than modern refinement.

Only 29.5% of listings are priced as good or great deals, so the market still rewards careful shopping.

Is the 2020 Toyota Tundra reliable?

Owners rate it 4.79/5, a strong signal of long-term satisfaction.

User feedback repeatedly highlights reliability, dependability, and long-term ownership appeal, with many drivers describing it as a truck you can count on. The expert test-drive summary also says it should prove “utterly bulletproof” in terms of reliability, and the performance notes describe the powertrain as a refined and durable workhorse.

Toyota’s cost-effectiveness notes also reinforce the value of that durability, since Tundras are known for holding their value over time. For used buyers, the main ownership risk is that reliability may come with higher running costs, especially given the truck’s fuel consumption and age-related compromises.

What should I look for when buying a used 2020 Toyota Tundra?

Key things to evaluate:

• Trim level: The SR, SR5, and Platinum are the main trims, and the higher you climb, the fancier and plusher the Tundra gets. The SR5 can be paired with SX, TRD Off-road, TRD Off-road Premium, TRD Sport, TRD Sport Premium, TRD Pro, and Chrome Appearance packages, while the Platinum can add a 1794 Edition package. The base SR is the most stripped-back choice, so you should pay close attention to equipment gaps if you want a more comfortable or better-equipped truck.
• Powertrain: Every 2020 Tundra uses a 5.7-litre V8 with a six-speed automatic transmission. It’s described as a refined and durable workhorse, with strong power and a reputation for being easy to live with if you prioritise toughness over efficiency.
• Safety package: Toyota Safety Sense comes standard, including a pre-collision system with pedestrian detection, dynamic radar cruise control, lane departure alert, and automatic high beams. Blind-spot monitoring with rear cross-traffic alert is available, and most Tundras include a free year of Safety Connect services. The crash-test results are the bigger concern, so you should pay close attention to how the truck was equipped and whether the safety features you want are present.
• Infotainment: Lower trims get a 7-inch display, while pricier versions upgrade to an 8-inch screen. All versions include Bluetooth, Apple CarPlay, Android Auto, and USB media and charging ports, and the top system adds dynamic navigation, dynamic voice recognition, dynamic point-of-interest search, SiriusXM satellite radio, and connected safety services.
• Fuel efficiency: Natural Resources Canada says a Tundra 4WD uses 18.0 L/100 km in the city, 14.2 on the highway, and 16.3 combined. The expert tester averaged 16.4 L/100 km, so fuel costs are a major part of ownership.

Which 2020 Toyota Tundra trim should I buy?

The 2020 Toyota Tundra is offered in 3 trim levels: SR, SR5, and Platinum.

Here's the short version:

• SR: This is the entry point, so it makes the most sense if you want the Tundra’s core durability and capability at the lowest starting point. It’s the trim to focus on if you care more about the truck’s fundamentals than extra comfort or tech.
• SR5: This is the best-value choice for most shoppers because it opens the door to the widest range of packages, including TRD Off-road, TRD Sport, TRD Pro, and Chrome Appearance. If you want the broadest mix of equipment and personality without jumping straight to the top trim, this is the one to target.
• Platinum: Choose this if you want the plushest version of the Tundra and are willing to pay for it. It sits at the top of the lineup and can be paired with the 1794 Edition package for an even more upscale feel.

Toyota Safety Sense comes standard, and blind-spot monitoring with rear cross-traffic alert is available.

Is now a good time to buy a used 2020 Toyota Tundra?

This is a moderate market for selective buyers, so you should shop carefully and compare listings before moving quickly.

• Deal availability: 29.5% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Inventory: There are 61 listings available.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 12.55% compared with last year.

If you find a listing below $43,457 CAD, that's toward the low end of the year-round range and worth acting on quickly.

What is the 2020 Toyota Tundra's resale value?

The current average of $44,060 CAD sits slightly below last year's $50,386 CAD.

That price movement suggests the Tundra has become more accessible for used buyers, which can help support demand if you’re shopping now. For a future seller, the softer market means you may need to price more competitively than owners did a year ago. Even so, the truck’s reputation for durability and long-term appeal should continue to help it hold interest better than many rivals.

Vehicles with strong owner satisfaction ratings, like this model year's 4.79/5, tend to retain buyer demand, which supports resale value over time.

Is the 2020 Toyota Tundra safe?

The 2020 Toyota Tundra gets Good ratings only in the IIHS tests that were most revealing in an older era, but it also gets a Marginal rating for the driver and a Poor rating for the front passenger in small-overlap frontal testing, and its headlights are rated Marginal. It earns four-star ratings in frontal crash and rollover, and five-star ratings in side-impact protection from NHTSA.

It earns a 4/10 safety score from our experts.

Toyota Safety Sense comes standard, with a pre-collision system with pedestrian detection, dynamic radar cruise control, lane departure alert, and automatic high beams. Blind-spot monitoring with rear cross-traffic alert is available, and most Tundras include a free year of Safety Connect services with automatic collision notification and SOS emergency calling.

The main caveat for you is that the crash-test results are a real weak point, so safety should be a major part of your used-shopping checklist.

Should I buy a 2020 Toyota Tundra or consider a different year?

If you're weighing the 2020 against nearby model years, here's how to think about it:

Choose the 2020 if:

• 29.5% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 12.55% compared with last year.
• Owners rate it 4.79/5 — a strong satisfaction signal.
• The 2020 stands out for reliability, but it also brings poor fuel economy and weak safety results.

Consider the 2021 if:

• At $46,470 CAD, the 2021 costs more than the current year's $44,060 CAD average.
• It feels more relevant thanks to key updates and special editions.

The bottom line: If reliability, durability, and value retention matter most, the 2020 is the smarter buy. If you want a newer-feeling Tundra and can stretch your budget, the 2021 is worth a look; if you’re price-sensitive, the 2020’s softer pricing makes it the better starting point.
