Is the 2020 Mercedes-Benz GLE a good car?

That makes it a strong fit if you want a premium SUV for family use or road trips without giving up everyday practicality. Is the 2020 Mercedes-Benz GLE reliable?

The owner feedback points to a vehicle that feels dependable in daily use, with praise for its smooth ride and overall refinement. Reviewers also describe it as a strong long-term choice for families and road trips, which suggests it can be a reassuring used buy if you value comfort and consistency. For used buyers, the main ownership risk is less about basic satisfaction and more about choosing the right example, since some listings may be missing features or carry higher running costs.

Is now a good time to buy a used 2020 Mercedes-Benz GLE?

This looks like a moderate, selective buyer’s market, so you can shop carefully without feeling rushed.

• Deal availability: 23.7% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Inventory: There are 131 listings available.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 13.65% compared with last year.

If you find a listing below $42,307 CAD, that's toward the low end of the year-round range and worth acting on quickly.

What is the 2020 Mercedes-Benz GLE's resale value?

The current average of $42,380 CAD sits slightly below last year's $49,078 CAD.

That price movement suggests the market has already adjusted downward, which can make the GLE more attractive to used buyers today but may also limit upside for a future seller. If you buy at the current average, your resale position will depend heavily on condition, mileage, and equipment. Strong demand for a well-equipped luxury SUV can still help support values, especially when the vehicle has broad appeal and a good ownership reputation.

Vehicles with strong owner satisfaction ratings, like this model year's 4.57/5, tend to retain buyer demand, which supports resale value over time.

Should I buy a 2020 Mercedes-Benz GLE or consider a different year?

If you're weighing the 2020 against nearby model years, here's how to think about it:

Choose the 2020 if:

• 23.7% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 13.65% compared with last year.
• Owners rate it 4.57/5 — a strong satisfaction signal.

Consider the 2021 if:

• At $54,611 CAD, the 2021 costs more than the current year's $42,380 CAD average.
• It adds a broader eight-variant range and more emphasis on comfort and technology.

The bottom line: The 2020 is the better value if you want the GLE’s luxury, space, and technology at a lower entry price. If you are more budget-sensitive, the 2020 is the primary path to consider; if you want the newer model-year experience and are willing to pay more, the 2021 is the alternative worth cross-shopping.
