How much does the 2020 Mazda MAZDA3 cost?

Is the 2020 Mazda MAZDA3 a good car?

Yes — the 2020 Mazda MAZDA3 earns a 5/5 user rating, and that lines up with the model’s strong appeal for style, an amazing interior, and an enjoyable driving experience. It also stands out for its luxurious feel and advanced safety features, which fit well if you want a compact car that feels more premium than many rivals. If you value a refined daily driver with a sporty personality, this model year fits that brief well. The market also shows 30.2% of listings as good or great deals, which gives you some room to shop selectively.

Is the 2020 Mazda MAZDA3 reliable?

Owners rate it 5/5, a strong signal of long-term satisfaction.

The user feedback points to a car that many owners find dependable and trouble-free in day-to-day use, especially when judged over the long term. That said, some shoppers have noted concerns around power and cargo space, so your ownership experience may depend on whether those trade-offs matter to you. For used buyers, the main long-term risk is less about broad reliability and more about choosing a car whose condition and maintenance history match your needs.

Is now a good time to buy a used 2020 Mazda MAZDA3?

This looks like a moderate, selective buyer’s market, so you can shop carefully without expecting every listing to be a bargain.

• Deal availability: 30.2% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Inventory: There are 199 listings available.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 4.17% compared with last year.

If you find a listing below $19,295 CAD, that's toward the low end of the year-round range and worth acting on quickly.

What is the 2020 Mazda MAZDA3's resale value?

The current average of $19,677 CAD sits slightly below last year's $20,534 CAD.

That softer pricing can help you buy in at a more favourable level today, but it also means future resale gains may be more limited if the market stays soft. For a seller, the current trend suggests you should expect value retention to depend more on condition, mileage, and equipment than on broad market momentum. Strong demand for a premium-feeling compact car can still support pricing, especially if your vehicle is well kept and well equipped.

Vehicles with strong owner satisfaction ratings, like this model year's 5/5, tend to retain buyer demand, which supports resale value over time.

Should I buy a 2020 Mazda MAZDA3 or consider a different year?

If you're weighing the 2020 against nearby model years, here's how to think about it:

Choose the 2020 if:

• 30.2% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 4.17% compared with last year.
• Owners rate it 5/5 — a strong satisfaction signal.

Consider the 2021 if:

• At $21,397 CAD, the 2021 costs more than the current year's $19,677 CAD average.
• It adds a turbocharged engine for stronger performance.

The bottom line: Choose the 2020 if you want the better value and a premium-feeling compact car at a lower average price. Consider the 2021 if you’re willing to pay more for extra performance and a more power-focused driving experience.
