What is the 2020 Mazda CX-30's resale value?

The current average of $22,387 CAD sits slightly below last year's $23,028 CAD.

That softer pricing suggests the CX-30 has become a bit more accessible for buyers, which can also temper resale expectations for future sellers. If you buy at the right price now, you may have less downside risk than someone who paid closer to the higher end of the range. The model’s strong owner satisfaction should help support demand, but resale value will still depend on mileage, condition, and trim.

Vehicles with strong owner satisfaction ratings, like this model year's 4.57/5, tend to retain buyer demand, which supports resale value over time.

Should I buy a 2020 Mazda CX-30 or consider a different year?

If you're weighing the 2020 against nearby model years, here's how to think about it:

Choose the 2020 if:

• 29.4% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 2.78% compared with last year.
• Owners rate it 4.57/5 — a strong satisfaction signal.

Consider the 2021 if:

• At $24,775 CAD, the 2021 costs more than the current year's $22,387 CAD average.
• The 2021 adds a turbocharged option with stronger acceleration and a more premium feel.

The bottom line:
Choose the 2020 if you want the better value and are comfortable with its upscale-but-practical formula. If you’re willing to spend more for extra power and a more premium driving experience, the 2021 is the better upgrade path; if price matters most, the 2020 is the smarter buy.
