Is the 2020 Mazda CX-3 a good car?

Yes — the 2020 Mazda CX-3 earns a 5/5 user rating, which points to strong owner satisfaction. It was designed to feel more upscale and more engaging than many rivals, and it also brings a stylish design, a fun-to-drive character, and a solid list of driver-assist safety features. Is now a good time to buy a used 2020 Mazda CX-3?

This looks like a moderate, selective buyer’s market, so you can shop patiently but should move quickly on the best-priced examples.

• Deal availability: 28.1% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Inventory: There are 128 listings available.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 13.05% compared with last year.

What is the 2020 Mazda CX-3's resale value?

The current average of $18,921 CAD sits slightly below last year's $21,761 CAD.

That price movement suggests the CX-3 has already absorbed a meaningful amount of depreciation, which can be helpful if you are buying now and thinking ahead to resale. If the market stays steady, a lower entry price can reduce the amount you stand to lose over your ownership period. The model’s strong owner satisfaction also helps support demand among used shoppers.

Vehicles with strong owner satisfaction ratings, like this model year's 5/5, tend to retain buyer demand, which supports resale value over time.

Should I buy a 2020 Mazda CX-3 or consider a different year?

If you're weighing the 2020 against nearby model years, here's how to think about it:

Choose the 2020 if:

• 28.1% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 13.05% compared with last year.
• Owners rate it 5/5 — a strong satisfaction signal.

The bottom line: You should lean toward the 2020 if you want the CX-3’s upscale feel, engaging driving character, and strong owner satisfaction at a softened price. If you are especially price-sensitive, a nearby model year may still be worth comparing, but the 2020 stands out as a sensible choice when you find a well-priced example.
