This looks like a moderate, selective buyer's market, so you can be patient and still find a decent example.

The current average of $29,184 CAD sits slightly below last year's $31,499 CAD.

That softer pricing can help you buy in at a more favourable point, but it also means a future sale may need to be priced competitively if the market stays similar. If you plan to keep the vehicle for several years, the current trend suggests you should focus on condition, mileage, and service history to protect value later.

Vehicles with solid owner satisfaction ratings, like this model year's 4.3/5, tend to retain buyer demand, which supports resale value over time.

Should I buy a 2020 Lexus UX Hybrid or consider a different year?

If you're weighing the 2020 against nearby model years, here's how to think about it:

Choose the 2020 if:

• 28.8% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 7.35% compared with last year.
• Owners rate it 4.3/5 — a solid satisfaction signal.

The bottom line: The 2020 is the better path if you want a model year with softer pricing and a decent share of deal-priced listings. If you're especially price-sensitive, it can also make sense to compare nearby years and focus on whichever one gives you the best condition and asking price combination.
