User feedback also points to a car that many owners find dependable and easy to live with over time, especially when it comes to everyday use and ownership confidence. Is now a good time to buy a used 2020 Kia Forte?

This is a moderate, selective buyer’s market, so you have room to shop carefully and still find value.

• Deal availability: 32.1% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Inventory: There are 280 listings available.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 14.63% compared with last year.

If you find a listing below $14,404 CAD, that's toward the low end of the year-round range and worth acting on quickly.

What is the 2020 Kia Forte's resale value?

The current average of $14,632 CAD sits slightly below last year's $17,140 CAD.

That kind of price movement suggests the Forte has become more accessible for used buyers, but it also means a future seller may need to price competitively to stand out. If you buy at today’s average, you may have less immediate downside than someone who bought when prices were higher. Vehicles with strong owner satisfaction ratings, like this model year's 4.6/5, tend to retain buyer demand, which supports resale value over time.

Should I buy a 2020 Kia Forte or consider a different year?

If you're weighing the 2020 against nearby model years, here's how to think about it:

Choose the 2020 if:

• 32.1% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 14.63% compared with last year.
• Owners rate it 4.6/5 — a strong satisfaction signal.

The bottom line: If you want a used Forte with strong owner approval and a softer price environment, the 2020 is a sensible place to start. If your priority is stretching your budget as far as possible, you can also compare nearby years to see whether a lower-priced example offers a better fit for your needs.
