The current average of $22,539 CAD sits slightly below last year's $27,838 CAD.

That softer pricing can help you buy at a more favourable point in the cycle, but it also means a future sale may face more price pressure if the market stays loose. If you plan to keep the car for several years, the current discount can work in your favour. If you expect to resell sooner, buying well below average matters more.

Vehicles with strong owner satisfaction ratings, like this model year's 5/5, tend to retain buyer demand, which supports resale value over time.

Should I buy a 2020 INFINITI Q50 or consider a different year?
