Is the 2020 Chevrolet Traverse a good car?

Yes — owners rate it 4.9/5, which points to strong overall satisfaction. Owners consistently praise the spacious interior, smooth ride, and powerful performance, and many also like its comfort and handling in challenging weather conditions. For you, that makes sense if you want a large three-row crossover that prioritises family space, everyday usability, and easy-to-live-with tech. With 37.0% of listings marked as good or great deals, there is also a meaningful share of attractive options in the market.

Is the 2020 Chevrolet Traverse reliable?

Owners rate it 4.9/5, a strong signal of long-term satisfaction.

The owner feedback points to a vehicle that many people feel good about living with over time, especially because it is described as dependable in day-to-day use and appreciated for its smooth, trouble-free feel in regular ownership. The second-generation Traverse is also presented as easier to recommend than the original, which supports confidence if you are looking at a used example.

For used buyers, the main long-term ownership risk is making sure the specific vehicle has been cared for properly, since any large family SUV can become costly if maintenance or body condition has been neglected.

Is now a good time to buy a used 2020 Chevrolet Traverse?

This looks like a moderate, selective buyer’s market, so you can shop patiently and still find worthwhile listings.

• Deal availability: 37.0% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Inventory: There are 108 listings available.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 9.20% compared with last year.

If you find a listing below $25,077 CAD, that's toward the low end of the year-round range and worth acting on quickly.

What is the 2020 Chevrolet Traverse's resale value?

The current average of $25,077 CAD sits slightly below last year's $27,618 CAD.

That price movement suggests the market has softened, which can be good news if you are buying now but less favourable if you plan to sell soon. If you own one, you should expect resale value to depend heavily on condition, mileage, and how well the vehicle has been maintained. The current pricing also suggests buyers have become a bit more selective, so a clean, well-kept example should stand out more than a rough one.

Vehicles with strong owner satisfaction ratings, like this model year's 4.9/5, tend to retain buyer demand, which supports resale value over time.

Should I buy a 2020 Chevrolet Traverse or consider a different year?

If you're weighing the 2020 against nearby model years, here's how to think about it:

Choose the 2020 if:

• 37.0% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 9.20% compared with last year.
• Owners rate it 4.9/5 — a strong satisfaction signal.

The bottom line: If you want a roomy, family-friendly three-row crossover with strong owner approval and a softer used-market price, the 2020 is a sensible choice. If you are especially price-sensitive, you may want to compare nearby model years and focus on whichever one gives you the best combination of condition, deal share, and asking price.
