Is the 2020 Audi Q5 a good car?

Yes — the 2020 Audi Q5 earns a 4.6/5 user rating, which points to strong owner satisfaction. Owners consistently praise its luxurious feel, smooth driving experience, and comfortable interior, and many also highlight its handling and performance. For you, that means it fits especially well if you want a compact luxury SUV that feels polished, practical, and easy to live with. Is the 2020 Audi Q5 reliable?

Owners rate it 4.6/5, a strong signal of long-term satisfaction.

The owner feedback also points to a dependable, trouble-free ownership experience for many drivers, with the kind of long-term confidence shoppers often want in a used luxury SUV. That said, you should still budget for the usual risks that come with premium used vehicles, especially if maintenance history is incomplete.

Is now a good time to buy a used 2020 Audi Q5?

This looks like a moderate, selective buyer’s market, so you can shop patiently and still find worthwhile listings.

• Deal availability: 30.8% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Inventory: There are 224 listings available.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 16.31% compared with last year.

If you find a listing below $23,466 CAD, that's toward the low end of the year-round range and worth acting on quickly.

What is the 2020 Audi Q5's resale value?

The current average of $23,544 CAD sits slightly below last year's $28,133 CAD.

That drop suggests the market has already adjusted downward, which can make the Q5 more attractive to used buyers today but may also limit upside for a future seller. If you buy at the current average, your resale position will depend heavily on mileage, condition, and service records. A well-kept example should still appeal to shoppers who want a premium compact SUV with a strong reputation for comfort and quality.

Vehicles with strong owner satisfaction ratings, like this model year's 4.6/5, tend to retain buyer demand, which supports resale value over time.

Should I buy a 2020 Audi Q5 or consider a different year?

If you're weighing the 2020 against nearby model years, here's how to think about it:

Choose the 2020 if:

• 30.8% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 16.31% compared with last year.
• Owners rate it 4.6/5 — a strong satisfaction signal.

Consider the 2021 if:

• At $27,223 CAD, the 2021 costs more than the current year's $23,544 CAD average.
• It continues the plug-in hybrid approach for electrified shoppers.

The bottom line:
You should lean toward the 2020 if you want the better value and a broader pool of listings to compare. If you are willing to pay more for a newer model-year price point, the 2021 is the secondary path, but price-sensitive buyers will likely find the 2020 easier to justify.
