Is now a good time to buy a used 2020 Audi Q5?

This looks like a moderate market, so you can be selective without expecting deep bargain-bin pricing.

• Deal availability: 30.4% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Inventory: There are 217 listings available.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 17.49% compared with last year.

If you find a listing below $23,680 CAD, that's toward the low end of the year-round range and worth acting on quickly.

What is the 2020 Audi Q5's resale value?

The current average of $23,680 CAD sits slightly below last year's $28,699 CAD.

That price movement suggests the market has already adjusted downward, which can help you as a buyer today but may temper future resale gains if you sell soon. If you buy at the right price, you may have less depreciation left to absorb than someone who purchased when values were higher. The current spread between the low and high end also shows there is still meaningful variation based on condition, equipment, and listing quality.

Vehicles with strong owner satisfaction ratings, like this model year's 4.57/5, tend to retain buyer demand, which supports resale value over time.

Should I buy a 2020 Audi Q5 or consider a different year?

If you're weighing the 2020 against nearby model years, here's how to think about it:

Choose the 2020 if:

• 30.4% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 17.49% compared with last year.
• Owners rate it 4.57/5 — a strong satisfaction signal.

Consider the 2021 if:

• At $27,718 CAD, the 2021 costs more than the current year's $23,680 CAD average.
• It continues the plug-in hybrid direction for buyers wanting electrified premium-SUV appeal.

The bottom line:
Choose the 2020 if you want the better value play and are focused on comfort, quality, and a premium feel. If you are willing to pay more for a newer model-year price point and want to stay closer to Audi’s electrified direction, the 2021 is the secondary path to consider.
