For used buyers, that points to lower perceived ownership risk, especially if you focus on well-maintained examples with clean histories.

Is now a good time to buy a used 2019 Toyota Yaris?

This looks like a moderate market for selective buyers, so it makes sense to compare listings carefully rather than rush.

• Deal availability: 27.6% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Inventory: There are 58 listings available.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 7.82% compared with last year.

If you find a listing below $16,908 CAD, that's toward the low end of the year-round range and worth acting on quickly.

What is the 2019 Toyota Yaris's resale value?

The current average of $17,924 CAD sits slightly below last year's $19,444 CAD.

That softer pricing can be a mixed signal if you're thinking about future resale, because today's lower entry cost may also mean less room for appreciation later. If you buy well and keep the car in strong condition, you can help protect its value over time. A model year that already has solid owner satisfaction can still appeal to future shoppers.

Vehicles with strong owner satisfaction ratings, like this model year's 5/5, tend to retain buyer demand, which supports resale value over time.

Should I buy a 2019 Toyota Yaris or consider a different year?

If you're weighing the 2019 against nearby model years, here's how to think about it:

Choose the 2019 if:

• 27.6% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 7.82% compared with last year.
• Owners rate it 5/5 — a strong satisfaction signal.

The bottom line: If you want the strongest mix of current value and owner approval, the 2019 is the primary year to focus on. If you're especially price-sensitive, keep an eye on listings near the low end of the range and compare them against nearby model years before deciding.
