How much does the 2019 Subaru Ascent cost?

There are 105 listings available, which gives you a reasonable amount of inventory to compare.

Is the 2019 Subaru Ascent a good car?

Yes — the 2019 Subaru Ascent earns a 4.8/5 user rating, which points to strong owner satisfaction. Owners commonly praise its comfort, safety features, stylish design, and family-friendly space, while the overview shows it was built as Subaru’s first midsize three-row SUV with flexible seven- or eight-passenger seating. That makes it a sensible fit if you want a practical family hauler with standard all-wheel drive and useful utility. With 28.6% of listings marked as good or great deals, you still have some room to shop carefully.

Is the 2019 Subaru Ascent reliable?

Owners rate it 4.8/5, a strong signal of long-term satisfaction.

The owner feedback points to a vehicle that many drivers find dependable in day-to-day use, with comfort and family practicality standing out as recurring strengths. Some owners did note reliability concerns, so you should pay close attention to maintenance history and how the vehicle has been used. For used buyers, that means the long-term ownership risk looks manageable, but a careful pre-purchase inspection is still important.

Is now a good time to buy a used 2019 Subaru Ascent?

This looks like a moderate, selective buyer’s market, so you can shop patiently and still find worthwhile options.

• Deal availability: 28.6% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Inventory: There are 105 listings available.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 17.53% compared with last year.

If you find a listing below $20,255 CAD, that's toward the low end of the year-round range and worth acting on quickly.

What is the 2019 Subaru Ascent's resale value?

The current average of $20,255 CAD sits slightly below last year's $24,562 CAD.

That price movement suggests the market has already adjusted downward, which can make the Ascent more attractive to buyers today but less favourable for a future seller trying to recover a higher purchase price. If you buy at the current average, your depreciation exposure may be lower than it was a year ago, but resale value will still depend on condition, mileage, and service records. Vehicles with strong owner satisfaction ratings, like this model year's 4.8/5, tend to retain buyer demand, which supports resale value over time.

Should I buy a 2019 Subaru Ascent or consider a different year?

If you're weighing the 2019 against nearby model years, here's how to think about it:

Choose the 2019 if:

• 28.6% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 17.53% compared with last year.
• Owners rate it 4.8/5 — a strong satisfaction signal.

The bottom line: The 2019 is a solid choice if you want the Ascent’s standard all-wheel drive, family-friendly packaging, and current lower pricing. If you’re more price-sensitive, it’s worth comparing nearby years to see whether a newer or slightly older example offers better value, but the 2019 remains a sensible starting point for shoppers focused on space and practicality.
