Is the 2019 Porsche Macan a good car?

Yes — 5/5 is a strong user rating for the 2019 Porsche Macan, and it fits the model’s focus on driving enjoyment ahead of outright practicality. The Macan was designed with a sportier brief than most rivals, and its all-wheel-drive layout and seven-speed PDK automatic transmission help give it polished, performance-focused character. It also has a high-quality interior, and the 2019 update brought a redesigned dashboard and a next-generation infotainment system with a larger touchscreen. With 35.9% of listings marked as good or great deals, you have a decent chance of finding a competitively priced example.

Is the 2019 Porsche Macan reliable?

Owners rate it 5/5, a strong signal of long-term satisfaction.

The Macan’s overview points to a strong reliability record, which adds to its appeal as a premium used SUV. For you, that means the 2019 model can make sense if you want a performance-oriented compact SUV without taking on the kind of ownership uncertainty that can come with less proven luxury alternatives. Long-term ownership risk should be manageable for used buyers, provided you choose a well-maintained example.

Is now a good time to buy a used 2019 Porsche Macan?

This looks like a moderate, selective buyer’s market, so you can shop carefully and still find worthwhile opportunities.

• Deal availability: 35.9% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Inventory: There are 153 listings available.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 11.54% compared with last year.

If you find a listing below $37,684 CAD, that's toward the low end of the year-round range and worth acting on quickly.

What is the 2019 Porsche Macan's resale value?

The current average of $37,684 CAD sits slightly below last year's $42,600 CAD.

That softer pricing can work in your favour if you buy now, but it also means future resale values may depend more heavily on condition, mileage, and equipment. Because the Macan is positioned as a premium compact SUV with strong driving appeal, well-kept examples should continue to attract interest. If you plan to sell later, the current market suggests you may want to buy selectively and keep the vehicle in excellent shape.

Vehicles with strong owner satisfaction ratings, like this model year's 5/5, tend to retain buyer demand, which supports resale value over time.

Should I buy a 2019 Porsche Macan or consider a different year?

If you're weighing the 2019 against nearby model years, here's how to think about it:

Choose the 2019 if:

• 35.9% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 11.54% compared with last year.
• Owners rate it 5/5 — a strong satisfaction signal.

The bottom line: If you want the updated Macan with its redesigned dashboard, larger touchscreen, and stronger engine range, the 2019 is the better all-round pick. If your priority is stretching your budget further, a nearby earlier year may offer a lower entry price, while a later year could be worth considering if you want to compare against a newer market position.
