CarGurus Analysis: 2019 Nissan Murano
Summary
With 12 currently listed for sale and an average price of $21,825 CAD, 16.7% of 2019 Nissan Murano listings on CarGurus are rated as good or great deals.
Favourably reviewed: Owners rated the 2019 Nissan Murano 4.9 / 5 stars.
Why it stands out
The 2019 Nissan Murano stands out as a comfort-first midsize SUV with a more upscale feel than many shoppers might expect. It belongs to the third generation, which brought a larger body, a more prominent V-shaped grille, and a distinctive floating-roof design. For 2019, it also received a subtle styling update, an updated navigation system, and newly available safety features including pedestrian detection, lane-keep assist, automatic reverse braking, and automatic high beams.
What makes the 2019 Nissan Murano especially appealing is the way it balances refinement with everyday usability. Its 3.5-litre V6 produces 260 horsepower and 240 lb-ft of torque, and the CVT is described as better than many others, with quicker responses than competing units. It can reach 100 km/h in roughly 7.5 seconds, which is quick for the class. The Murano also leans heavily into comfort, with a spacious front seat area, a cabin that moved towards a cleaner and more modern layout, and a ride that prioritises ease over sporty handling.
There are still a few trade-offs to keep in mind. Cargo space is somewhat small for a midsize SUV at up to 931 litres, and the sloping rear window can make bulkier items harder to load. The Murano also shifted further towards comfort than athleticism, so it is not the most engaging choice to drive. Even so, for buyers who value a quiet, well-equipped, and upscale-feeling used SUV, the 2019 Nissan Murano has a lot to offer.

This looks like a moderate market for selective buyers, so it rewards comparison shopping rather than rushing.

- Inventory: There are 241 listings available.

If you find a listing below $19,311 CAD, that's toward the low end of the year-round range and worth acting on quickly.
What is the 2019 Nissan Murano's resale value?
The current average of $19,496 CAD sits slightly below last year's $22,477 CAD.
That softer pricing suggests the Murano has become more accessible for used buyers, but it also means a future seller may need to price competitively to stand out. If you buy at the current average, you may have less room for appreciation, so condition, mileage, and equipment will matter more when it comes time to resell. Vehicles with strong owner satisfaction ratings, like this model year's 4.9/5, tend to retain buyer demand, which supports resale value over time.
Should I buy a 2019 Nissan Murano or consider a different year?
If you're weighing the 2019 against nearby model years, here's how to think about it:
Choose the 2019 if:
- 35.3% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
- Price trend: Prices have softened 13.26% compared with last year.
- Owners rate it 4.9/5 — a strong satisfaction signal.
The bottom line: The 2019 is a strong choice if you want a comfort-focused Murano with a well-liked cabin and a softer used price than last year. If you are especially price-sensitive, you may also want to compare nearby model years to see whether a similar trim or condition level offers better value.
