Is the 2019 Nissan Kicks a good car?

Generally — the 2019 Nissan Kicks earns a 4/5 user rating, which lines up with its reputation as a budget-friendly crossover that delivers good value. Is the 2019 Nissan Kicks reliable?

Owners rate it 4/5, a solid signal of long-term satisfaction.

User feedback points to a dependable, trouble-free ownership experience for many drivers, especially if you value low running costs and a vehicle you can count on for everyday use. The strongest themes are value, fuel efficiency, and practical features, which usually matter most to long-term owners. For used buyers, the main ownership risk is that the Kicks’ strengths are more about economy and simplicity than durability under demanding use, so condition and maintenance history still matter.

Is now a good time to buy a used 2019 Nissan Kicks?

This looks like a moderate, selective buyer's market, so you can be patient and shop for the right example rather than rushing.

• Deal availability: 35.4% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Inventory: There are 229 listings available.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 15.83% compared with last year.

If you find a listing below $14,253 CAD, that's toward the low end of the year-round range and worth acting on quickly.

What is the 2019 Nissan Kicks's resale value?

The current average of $14,312 CAD sits slightly below last year's $17,004 CAD.

That kind of price movement suggests the market has already adjusted downward, which can make the Kicks easier to buy now but may also limit upside for a future seller. If you purchase at a strong price and keep the vehicle in good condition, you may be better positioned when it comes time to resell. The model's value-focused reputation should help it stay relevant with budget-minded shoppers, even if it doesn't command premium pricing.

Vehicles with solid owner satisfaction ratings, like this model year's 4/5, tend to retain buyer demand, which supports resale value over time.

Should I buy a 2019 Nissan Kicks or consider a different year?

If you're weighing the 2019 against nearby model years, here's how to think about it:

Choose the 2019 if:

• 35.4% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 15.83% compared with last year.
• Owners rate it 4/5 — a solid satisfaction signal.

The bottom line: If you want a simple, fuel-efficient subcompact SUV with strong value and a useful feature set, the 2019 is a sensible place to focus your search. If you're especially price-sensitive, you can also compare nearby model years to see whether a lower asking price or better equipment mix gives you more value for your budget.
