Is now a good time to buy a used 2019 Hyundai Tucson?

This looks like a moderate, selective buyer’s market, so you can shop with some leverage if you’re patient and compare listings carefully.

• Deal availability: 29.8% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Inventory: There are 470 listings available.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 14.78% compared with last year.

If you find a listing below $16,416 CAD, that's toward the low end of the year-round range and worth acting on quickly.

What is the 2019 Hyundai Tucson's resale value?

The current average of $16,427 CAD sits slightly below last year's $19,276 CAD.

That price movement suggests the Tucson has already absorbed a meaningful amount of depreciation, which can help future sellers if they buy at the right price today. If you keep the vehicle in good condition and stay on top of maintenance, you may be better positioned to recover value later than a buyer who pays near the top of the range. The current market also shows that shoppers still respond to this model year’s value proposition, which helps support resale interest.

Vehicles with strong owner satisfaction ratings, like this model year's 4.67/5, tend to retain buyer demand, which supports resale value over time.

Should I buy a 2019 Hyundai Tucson or consider a different year?

If you're weighing the 2019 against nearby model years, here's how to think about it:

Choose the 2019 if:

• 29.8% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 14.78% compared with last year.
• Owners rate it 4.67/5 — a strong satisfaction signal.

The bottom line: You should lean toward the 2019 if you want a well-equipped compact SUV with strong owner approval and a market that still offers some deal opportunities. If your priority is stretching your budget as far as possible, a nearby year with lower asking prices may be worth a look, but the 2019 remains the better all-around choice if you value the refreshed features and broad appeal.
