Is the 2019 Hyundai Tucson a good car?

Yes — the 2019 Hyundai Tucson earns a 4.67/5 user rating, which points to strong owner satisfaction. Drivers consistently praise its spacious interior, good handling, and strong value for money, and they also like the updated features and luxury amenities. Is the 2019 Hyundai Tucson reliable?

Owners rate it 4.67/5, a strong signal of long-term satisfaction.

The user feedback highlights a vehicle that many owners find dependable in day-to-day use, with praise centred on its spacious cabin, good handling, and overall value. For used buyers, the main ownership risk is less about outright reliability and more about finding one that has been maintained well and still feels strong enough for your needs.

Is now a good time to buy a used 2019 Hyundai Tucson?

This looks like a moderate, selective buyer’s market, so you can shop patiently and still find worthwhile options.

• Deal availability: 31.9% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Inventory: There are 473 listings available.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 14.34% compared with last year.

If you find a listing below $16,461 CAD, that's toward the low end of the year-round range and worth acting on quickly.

What is the 2019 Hyundai Tucson's resale value?

The current average of $16,461 CAD sits slightly below last year's $19,217 CAD.

That price movement suggests the Tucson has become more accessible for buyers, which can make it harder for a future seller to command a premium unless the vehicle is especially well kept or well equipped. At the same time, the model’s broad appeal and practical reputation help support steady demand. If you buy at the right price now, you may have a better chance of limiting depreciation pressure later.

Vehicles with strong owner satisfaction ratings, like this model year's 4.67/5, tend to retain buyer demand, which supports resale value over time.

Should I buy a 2019 Hyundai Tucson or consider a different year?

If you're weighing the 2019 against nearby model years, here's how to think about it:

Choose the 2019 if:

• 31.9% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 14.34% compared with last year.
• Owners rate it 4.67/5 — a strong satisfaction signal.

The bottom line: The 2019 Tucson is the better pick if you want the refreshed look, standard Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, and a strong value story in a compact SUV. If your priority is stretching your budget as far as possible, you may also want to compare it with nearby model years, but the 2019 stands out as the more modern and well-rounded choice for most shoppers.
