Is now a good time to buy a used 2019 Hyundai Tucson?

This looks like a moderate, selective buyer’s market, so you can be choosy without expecting every listing to be a bargain.

• Deal availability: 25.9% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Inventory: There are 460 listings available.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 12.49% compared with last year.

If you find a listing below $16,399 CAD, that's toward the low end of the year-round range and worth acting on quickly.

What is the 2019 Hyundai Tucson's resale value?

The current average of $16,399 CAD sits slightly below last year's $18,739 CAD.

That price movement suggests the Tucson has become more accessible for buyers, but it also means a future seller may need to price competitively to stand out. If you buy at today’s average, your resale position will depend heavily on condition, mileage, and how well the vehicle has been maintained. Vehicles with strong owner satisfaction ratings, like this model year's 4.7/5, tend to retain buyer demand, which supports resale value over time.

Should I buy a 2019 Hyundai Tucson or consider a different year?

If you're weighing the 2019 against nearby model years, here's how to think about it:

Choose the 2019 if:

• 25.9% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 12.49% compared with last year.
• Owners rate it 4.7/5 — a strong satisfaction signal.

The bottom line: If you want a Tucson that balances value, practicality, and a more modern feature set, the 2019 is the one to focus on. If your priority is stretching your budget as far as possible, a nearby year with a lower asking price may be worth comparing, but the 2019 remains a strong middle-ground choice for shoppers who want a well-equipped compact SUV.
