Is now a good time to buy a used 2019 Hyundai Elantra GT?

This looks like a moderate, selective buyer's market, so you can be patient and still find worthwhile options.

• Inventory: There are 85 listings available.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 18.49% compared with last year.

If you find a listing below $13,898 CAD, that's toward the low end of the year-round range and worth acting on quickly.

What is the 2019 Hyundai Elantra GT's resale value?

The current average of $14,028 CAD sits slightly below last year's $17,210 CAD.

That price movement suggests sellers may need to be realistic about expectations if they plan to trade in or list privately. A softer market can mean slower appreciation and more competition from similarly priced alternatives. If you buy well now, you may have a better chance of limiting depreciation pressure later.

Vehicles with solid owner satisfaction ratings, like this model year's 4/5, tend to retain buyer demand, which supports resale value over time.

Should I buy a 2019 Hyundai Elantra GT or consider a different year?

If you're weighing the 2019 against nearby model years, here's how to think about it:

Choose the 2019 if:

• 37.6% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 18.49% compared with last year.
• Owners rate it 4/5 — a solid satisfaction signal.

The bottom line: The 2019 is a sensible choice if you want a used Elantra GT with a softer price trend and a decent share of deal-priced listings. If you're especially price-sensitive, you may also want to compare nearby years and focus on whichever one gives you the best combination of condition, mileage, and asking price.
