Got it for a good deal and it’s sneaky fast. Very comfortable and 90% loaded. Only missing the heads up display and heated steering wheel. This thing is sweet.

| Metric | Value |
|---|---|
| Current Average Price | $20,696 CAD |
| Year-Round Low | $20,537 CAD |
| Year-Round High | $25,297 CAD |
| Average Price a Year Ago | $24,814 CAD |
| Change vs. Last Year | −16.60% |
Prices have softened 16.60% compared to this time last year, making it a favourable time to shop this model year.
There are 24 listings available, which gives you a modest amount of choice in the used market.
Is the 2019 Genesis G70 a good car?
Yes — the 2019 Genesis G70 earns a 5/5 user rating, which points to strong owner satisfaction. Owners consistently praise its luxurious feel, sporty performance, excellent value for money, great acceleration and handling, and the abundance of standard features. The main trade-offs mentioned are a less responsive turbocharged 2.0L engine before boost comes on and limited trunk space. With 20.8% of listings marked as good or great deals, you still have some room to shop carefully.
Is the 2019 Genesis G70 reliable?
Owners rate it 5/5, a strong signal of long-term satisfaction.
The owner feedback also points to a car that feels dependable and easy to live with, especially if you value a premium driving experience without giving up everyday usability. For used buyers, the main long-term ownership risk is making sure the specific car has been maintained well, since any neglected luxury sedan can become more expensive to keep in top shape.
Is now a good time to buy a used 2019 Genesis G70?
This looks like a moderate, selective buyer's market, so you can shop patiently and still find worthwhile options.
- Deal availability: 20.8% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
- Inventory: There are 24 listings available.
- Price trend: Prices have softened 16.60% compared with last year.
If you find a listing below $20,537 CAD, that's toward the low end of the year-round range and worth acting on quickly.
What is the 2019 Genesis G70's resale value?
The current average of $20,696 CAD sits slightly below last year's $24,814 CAD.
That price movement suggests the model has become more affordable for buyers, which can make it a tougher sell if you're trying to trade one in soon. On the other hand, a lower entry price can help keep demand steady among shoppers looking for value in a luxury sedan. If you buy well now, you may have a better chance of limiting depreciation compared with paying closer to the top of the range.
Vehicles with strong owner satisfaction ratings, like this model year's 5/5, tend to retain buyer demand, which supports resale value over time.
Should I buy a 2019 Genesis G70 or consider a different year?
If you're weighing the 2019 against nearby model years, here's how to think about it:
Choose the 2019 if:
- 20.8% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
- Price trend: Prices have softened 16.60% compared with last year.
- Owners rate it 5/5 — a strong satisfaction signal.
The bottom line: The 2019 is a strong choice if you want a well-liked luxury sedan with softened pricing and a decent chance of finding a deal. If you're especially price-sensitive, keep an eye on nearby model years and compare listings closely, but the 2019 stands out as the better starting point when you want value and owner approval in the same package.
