Should I buy a 2019 Ford Mustang or consider a different year?

If you're weighing the 2019 against nearby model years, here's how to think about it:

Choose the 2019 if:

• 27.9% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 3.33% compared with last year.
• Owners rate it 4.86/5 — a strong satisfaction signal.
• It adds Bullitt exclusivity, extra power, and a heritage-focused special-edition character.

Consider the 2018 if:

• At $26,118 CAD, the 2018 costs less than the current year's $30,288 CAD average.
• It feels more sophisticated while broadening the Mustang’s appeal beyond the usual rivals.

Consider the 2020 if:

• At $35,300 CAD, the 2020 costs more than the current year's $30,288 CAD average.
• It keeps the Mustang’s performance focus while offering broad powertrain appeal.

The bottom line: If you want the most distinctive and emotionally appealing version of this model year, the 2019 Bullitt is the one to target. If your priority is lower purchase price, the 2018 is the better value path; if you want to spend more for a newer-year alternative, the 2020 is the next step up.
