Yes — 4.9/5 owners’ rating points to strong owner satisfaction, and the expert rating is 8/10. The model scores 9/10 across Performance, Form and function, and Safety.

The owner feedback also points to a car that feels dependable in the ways that matter most to enthusiasts: strong performance, enjoyable driving, and a satisfying ownership experience over time. The expert assessment reinforces that sense of confidence by highlighting the Bullitt’s modern hardware and forgiving manual transmission, which make it approachable to live with. Ford also includes a lot of equipment that would otherwise be optional, which can help reduce the need for immediate upgrades after purchase.

For used buyers, the main long-term ownership risk is that this is still a performance-focused car, so condition and maintenance history matter more than they would on a mainstream commuter.

What should I look for when buying a used 2019 Ford Mustang?

Key things to evaluate:

• Trim level: The Bullitt is based on a Mustang GT Premium coupe with the Performance Pack, then adds unique styling touches such as logo and spoiler deletes, a blacked-out grille, Bullitt badging, chrome trim, a cue-ball shifter, digital gauges, and Bullitt-specific 19-inch aluminium wheels. It is the right pick if you want the most distinctive version rather than a standard Mustang look.
• Powertrain: You get a nearly 500-hp V8 with a six-speed manual transmission, plus a special exhaust and the intake from the Shelby GT350. The Bullitt also adds adaptive dampers on equipped examples, and the performance focus is clear throughout.
• Safety package: The Bullitt Electronics Package adds blind-spot monitoring, a Bang & Olufsen stereo, a driver memory system, and voice-activated touchscreen navigation. Standard equipment includes a rearview camera, Bluetooth, SiriusXM satellite radio, and Sync 3.
• Infotainment: You get Sync 3, standard Android Auto and Apple CarPlay connectivity, and available voice-activated navigation. The tech suite is rounded out by a rearview camera and Bluetooth.
• Fuel efficiency: The Bullitt is rated at 16.1 L/100 km in the city and 9.9 L/100 km on the highway.

Which 2019 Ford Mustang trim should I buy?

The 2019 Ford Mustang is offered in 1 trim level: Bullitt.

Here's the short version:

The Bullitt is the clear choice if you want the most character, the strongest sense of occasion, and the most distinctive styling in the lineup. It layers exclusive appearance details, a stronger exhaust note, and extra performance hardware on top of the Mustang GT Premium foundation, so it suits you best if you value heritage and driving theatre over value shopping. It is also the best fit if you want a manual-only Mustang with a more special feel than the mainstream trims.

The Bullitt Electronics Package is worth seeking out if you want blind-spot monitoring and the upgraded audio and navigation features.

Is now a good time to buy a used 2019 Ford Mustang?

This looks like a moderate, selective buyer’s market, so you can shop carefully and still find worthwhile listings.

• Deal availability: 32.7% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Inventory: There are 153 listings available.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 3.75% compared with last year.

If you find a listing below $27,854 CAD, that's toward the low end of the year-round range and worth acting on quickly.

What is the 2019 Ford Mustang's resale value?

The current average of $29,221 CAD sits slightly below last year's $30,361 CAD.

That softer pricing trend suggests buyers have a bit more leverage today than they did a year ago. If you buy well, you may be able to protect more of your value by starting from a lower entry price. The Bullitt’s distinctive positioning can help it stand out in the used market, especially if it is well equipped and well maintained.

Vehicles with strong owner satisfaction ratings, like this model year's 4.9/5, tend to retain buyer demand, which supports resale value over time.

Is the 2019 Ford Mustang safe?

The 2019 Ford Mustang earns five-star ratings in every category from NHTSA. The independent Insurance Institute for Highway Safety (IIHS) awarded it an Acceptable rating for the driver’s side small overlap test and a Marginal rating for the child safety latches.

It earns a 9/10 safety score from our experts.

The Bullitt Electronics Package adds blind-spot monitoring, while standard equipment includes a rearview camera. That gives you a useful safety baseline, but the IIHS caveats are worth keeping in mind if safety is a top priority.

Should I buy a 2019 Ford Mustang or consider a different year?

If you're weighing the 2019 against nearby model years, here's how to think about it:

Choose the 2019 if:

• 32.7% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 3.75% compared with last year.
• Owners rate it 4.9/5 — a strong satisfaction signal.
• It adds Bullitt exclusivity, GT350-derived intake and exhaust, and a more special driving feel.

Consider the 2018 if:

• At $25,865 CAD, the 2018 costs less than the current year's $29,221 CAD average.
• It feels more polished and sophisticated while staying true to the classic Mustang formula.

Consider the 2020 if:

• At $39,269 CAD, the 2020 costs more than the current year's $29,221 CAD average.
• It offers multiple powertrain choices and broader everyday appeal.

The bottom line: If you want the most distinctive and emotionally appealing version, the 2019 Bullitt is the one to target. If price matters more than exclusivity, the 2018 is the better value path, while the 2020 makes sense if you want a broader range of Mustang choices and are willing to pay more.
