Is the 2019 Ford Escape reliable?

The review summary also points to a dependable ownership experience, with owners highlighting comfort, value, and fuel economy alongside the vehicle’s everyday usability. Mentions of older-model issues suggest you should still check service history and condition closely before buying. For used buyers, that means long-term ownership risk looks manageable, but a careful inspection matters.

Is now a good time to buy a used 2019 Ford Escape?

This looks like a moderate, selective buyer’s market, so you can shop with some leverage if you stay patient.

• Deal availability: 29.1% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Inventory: There are 646 listings available.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 16.12% compared with last year.

If you find a listing below $15,154 CAD, that's toward the low end of the year-round range and worth acting on quickly.

What is the 2019 Ford Escape's resale value?

The current average of $15,158 CAD sits slightly below last year's $18,071 CAD.

That softer pricing can help you buy more affordably now, but it also means future resale gains may be limited if the market stays under pressure. If you plan to sell later, the current trend suggests you should focus on condition, mileage, and maintenance records to protect value. A well-kept example should still appeal to budget-conscious SUV shoppers.

Vehicles with strong owner satisfaction ratings, like this model year's 4.71/5, tend to retain buyer demand, which supports resale value over time.

Should I buy a 2019 Ford Escape or consider a different year?

If you're weighing the 2019 against nearby model years, here's how to think about it:

Choose the 2019 if:

• 29.1% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 16.12% compared with last year.
• Owners rate it 4.71/5 — a strong satisfaction signal.

Consider the 2020 if:

• At $17,813 CAD, the 2020 costs more than the current year's $15,158 CAD average.
• The redesign adds a more polished, high-tech feel with broader powertrain variety.

The bottom line: Choose the 2019 if you want the better value and a strong mix of owner satisfaction, inventory, and softer pricing. If you can stretch your budget and want the newer redesign’s more polished feel, the 2020 is the better secondary path.
