How much does the 2019 Ford Escape cost?

There are 664 listings available, which gives you a solid amount of inventory to compare.

Is the 2019 Ford Escape a good car?

Yes — the 2019 Ford Escape earns a 4.7/5 user rating, which points to strong owner satisfaction. Owners commonly praise its spacious interior, comfort, and advanced tech features, and many also like the fuel economy and engine performance. That combination makes it feel like a strong value in the compact SUV segment. With 29.7% of listings marked as good or great deals, you have a decent chance of finding a competitive offer.

Is the 2019 Ford Escape reliable?

Owners rate it 4.7/5, a strong signal of long-term satisfaction.

The owner feedback also points to a vehicle that many people find dependable for everyday use, with praise centred on comfort, fuel economy, and overall value. That said, some buyers mention issues with older models, so it pays to review service history carefully and inspect the vehicle thoroughly before you commit.

For used buyers, the main long-term ownership risk is buying a neglected example rather than a well-maintained one.

Is now a good time to buy a used 2019 Ford Escape?

This looks like a moderate, selective buyer’s market, so you can shop patiently and still find worthwhile options.

• Deal availability: 29.7% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Inventory: There are 664 listings available.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 15.29% compared with last year.

If you find a listing below $14,622 CAD, that's toward the low end of the year-round range and worth acting on quickly.

What is the 2019 Ford Escape's resale value?

The current average of $14,625 CAD sits slightly below last year's $17,265 CAD.

That softer pricing can help you buy in at a more favourable point, but it also means future resale gains may be more limited if the market stays soft. If you plan to sell later, your best protection is choosing a well-kept example with strong documentation and avoiding overpaying today. A lower entry price can help offset depreciation, especially if you buy near the bottom of the current range.

Vehicles with strong owner satisfaction ratings, like this model year's 4.7/5, tend to retain buyer demand, which supports resale value over time.

Should I buy a 2019 Ford Escape or consider a different year?

If you're weighing the 2019 against nearby model years, here's how to think about it:

Choose the 2019 if:

• 29.7% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 15.29% compared with last year.
• Owners rate it 4.7/5 — a strong satisfaction signal.

Consider the 2020 if:

• At $17,334 CAD, the 2020 costs more than the current year's $14,625 CAD average.
• It brings a redesigned, more polished feel with broader powertrain choice and standard advanced safety features.

The bottom line: Choose the 2019 if your priority is value and you want to take advantage of softer pricing. If you can stretch your budget and want a more modern-feeling Escape, the 2020 is the better upgrade path; if you’re price-sensitive, the 2019 remains the smarter buy.
