Is the 2019 Dodge Grand Caravan a good car?

Yes — the 2019 Dodge Grand Caravan earns a 4.63/5 user rating, which points to strong owner satisfaction. Owners repeatedly praise its spacious interior, smooth ride, and excellent value for the price, and many also like the versatility of the Stow ’n Go seating for moving people and cargo. For you, that makes it a sensible fit if you want a practical, value-focused minivan that prioritises space and everyday usefulness. Is the 2019 Dodge Grand Caravan reliable?

Owners rate it 4.63/5, a strong signal of long-term satisfaction.

The owner feedback points to a vehicle that many people have found dependable for family duty, especially when it comes to everyday practicality and trouble-free use of its spacious cabin. At the same time, some owners have raised concerns about brake durability and the desire for more safety features, so a used example deserves a careful inspection. For long-term ownership, your risk is less about the basic usefulness of the van and more about how well the specific vehicle has been maintained.

Is now a good time to buy a used 2019 Dodge Grand Caravan?

This looks like a moderate, selective buyer’s market, so you can shop with some leverage if you’re patient and compare listings closely.

• Deal availability: 32.6% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Inventory: There are 571 listings available.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 18.16% compared with last year.

If you find a listing below $17,151 CAD, that's toward the low end of the year-round range and worth acting on quickly.

What is the 2019 Dodge Grand Caravan's resale value?

The current average of $17,151 CAD sits slightly below last year's $20,957 CAD.

That price movement suggests the market has already adjusted downward, which can make the van easier to buy now but may also limit upside if you plan to resell soon. For a future seller, the key takeaway is that value retention is being shaped more by affordability and demand for practical family transport than by premium positioning. If you buy well and keep the vehicle in good condition, you may be able to protect more of its value than the broader market trend implies.

Vehicles with strong owner satisfaction ratings, like this model year's 4.63/5, tend to retain buyer demand, which supports resale value over time.

Should I buy a 2019 Dodge Grand Caravan or consider a different year?

If you're weighing the 2019 against nearby model years, here's how to think about it:

Choose the 2019 if:

• 32.6% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 18.16% compared with last year.
• Owners rate it 4.63/5 — a strong satisfaction signal.

The bottom line: You should lean toward the 2019 if you want a value-focused minivan with strong owner approval and a market that still offers some deal potential. If your priority is simply the lowest possible purchase price, a nearby model year may be worth comparing, but the 2019 is the better starting point when you want a balance of affordability, space, and buyer confidence.
