Is the 2019 Dodge Durango reliable?

Owners rate it 4.87/5, a strong signal of long-term satisfaction.

The user feedback points to a vehicle that many owners find dependable and trouble-free in day-to-day use, especially when it comes to family duties and long-term ownership confidence. That said, some drivers mention paint quality concerns and an interior that could use a refresh, so condition matters when you shop used. For buyers, the main long-term risk is choosing a poorly maintained example, so a careful inspection is especially important.

This looks like a moderate, selective buyer’s market, so you can shop with some leverage if you’re patient.

• Deal availability: 29.1% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Inventory: There are 117 listings available.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 14.13% compared with last year.

If you find a listing below $23,068 CAD, that's toward the low end of the year-round range and worth acting on quickly.

What is the 2019 Dodge Durango's resale value?

The current average of $24,434 CAD sits slightly below last year's $28,454 CAD.

That drop suggests the market has become more favourable for buyers, but it also means future sellers may need to price more competitively to stand out. If you buy now, the softer pricing could help you avoid paying peak-market money. For resale, the current trend points to steadier demand rather than rapid appreciation, so condition and mileage will matter a lot when you eventually list it.

Vehicles with strong owner satisfaction ratings, like this model year's 4.87/5, tend to retain buyer demand, which supports resale value over time.

Should I buy a 2019 Dodge Durango or consider a different year?

If you're weighing the 2019 against nearby model years, here's how to think about it:

Choose the 2019 if:

• 29.1% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 14.13% compared with last year.
• Owners rate it 4.87/5 — a strong satisfaction signal.

Consider the 2020 if:

• At $29,049 CAD, the 2020 costs more than the current year's $24,434 CAD average.
• It adds a more polished, muscle-car-inspired presentation.

The bottom line:
The 2019 is the better primary pick if you want the strongest value and a wider cushion in today’s market. If you’re willing to spend more for a newer model-year feel and a slightly updated presentation, the 2020 is the secondary path to consider.
