Is the 2019 Dodge Durango a good car?

Yes — the 2019 Dodge Durango earns a 4.87/5 user rating, which points to strong owner satisfaction. Owners consistently praise its spacious interior, powerful performance, and family-friendly features, while also appreciating its stylish design and smooth driving experience. For you, that makes it a compelling fit if you want a three-row SUV with room for passengers and a more muscular personality than many rivals. With 29.2% of listings marked as good or great deals, there is still some room to shop selectively.

Is the 2019 Dodge Durango reliable?

Owners rate it 4.87/5, a strong signal of long-term satisfaction.

User feedback describes it as a reliable mid-size SUV, and the praise for its family-friendly usability and strong performance suggests many owners feel confident living with it over time. That said, you should still inspect any used example carefully, since long-term ownership risk can rise if maintenance history is incomplete or prior issues were not addressed.

Is now a good time to buy a used 2019 Dodge Durango?

This looks like a moderate buyer’s market, so you can shop carefully without feeling rushed.

• Deal availability: 29.2% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Inventory: There are 113 listings available.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 13.36% compared with last year.

If you find a listing below $23,041 CAD, that's toward the low end of the year-round range and worth acting on quickly.

What is the 2019 Dodge Durango's resale value?

The current average of $24,566 CAD sits slightly below last year's $28,353 CAD.

That price movement suggests the market has become more favourable for buyers, but it also means future sellers may need to price more competitively to stand out. If you buy at today’s average, your resale position will depend heavily on condition, mileage, and how well the vehicle has been maintained. Strong demand for spacious, family-friendly SUVs can help, but the softer pricing trend means you should not expect rapid appreciation.

Vehicles with strong owner satisfaction ratings, like this model year's 4.87/5, tend to retain buyer demand, which supports resale value over time.

Should I buy a 2019 Dodge Durango or consider a different year?

If you're weighing the 2019 against nearby model years, here's how to think about it:

Choose the 2019 if:

• 29.2% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 13.36% compared with last year.
• Owners rate it 4.87/5 — a strong satisfaction signal.

Consider the 2020 if:

• At $28,536 CAD, the 2020 costs more than the current year's $24,566 CAD average.
• It adds a more polished, muscle-car-inspired presentation.

The bottom line:
You should start with the 2019 if you want the better value and a wider chance of finding a deal. If you are willing to pay more for a newer model year and a slightly fresher feel, the 2020 is the secondary path to consider.
