Why it stands out
The 2019 Acura RDX marked a clear return to the brand’s sportier roots while keeping the practicality that buyers expect from a compact luxury SUV. It brought back a 2.0-litre turbocharged engine making 272 horsepower and 280 pound-feet of torque, paired with a 10-speed automatic transmission and Acura’s torque-vectoring SH-AWD system. That combination gives the RDX a more engaging character than many rivals, and the available drive modes add another layer of versatility for changing road conditions.
Inside, the 2019 RDX aimed to feel more upscale and better equipped than the model it replaced. Acura’s Integrated Dynamics System used a dial in the centre of the dashboard, and the cabin could be had with features such as a panoramic sunroof, heated front seats, navigation, parking sensors, and a premium audio system depending on trim. The standard AcuraWatch safety package also added useful driver aids, including forward collision warning with automatic emergency braking, lane departure warning, lane keep assist, and adaptive cruise control. Cargo space was another strength, with up to 2,260 litres available with the rear seats folded, though that figure required sliding the front seats all the way forward.
The main drawback is the infotainment system. Acura’s True Touchpad Interface debuted in the 2019 RDX on a 10.2-inch display, and while it was an improvement over older systems, it was not especially intuitive. Even so, the 2019 Acura RDX stands out for blending strong performance, a comfortable ride, and a well-appointed interior in a package that feels more distinctive than most compact luxury crossovers.

Acura RDX Best car ever have and i have diferent cars but this acura the best nice smooth good on gas and very super powerfull for a 4 cilinders super fast and confortable love it and this color blue and red interior love it !

Firstly, the 2019 RDX has become one of my favourite SUVs available for multiple reasons. It has all the main features included in present-day vehicles such as; lane assist, crash detection, blindspot assist, etc. Apple CarPlay integration is huge for an Apple-dominant home and it plays music almost perfectly through the ELS STUDIO 3D sound system. Secondly, the drivability of the RDX is great; its comfortable and works its way up into a sporty drive when switching the drive modes. Living in Canada means harsh winters and the SH-AWD gives my Lady and I confidence in every condition when equipped with good winter tires. I thought the RDX was a bit pricey when we picked up the car in 2021 but now owning the car for a couple of years, I think we made the right choice. It still has a great road presence because its aesthetically aggressive and sharp. Panoramic Roof, the front grille and the jewel lights are my favourite visual parts of this design. Couple things I would love to have though: HUD, Wireless CarPlay, Eco Mode (Not Automatic Engine Off). The reason I am not giving this platform a 5-star rating is because of the issues Ive faced in ownership. Ive had one recall involving the fuel system which wasnt bad but the timing was horrible. My glorious panoramic roof occasionally pops when the vehicle body endures bumps or uneven road surfaces. This one is big; the rearview glass is notorious for shattering because of a faulty design from the manufacturer. I was really hoping Acura would recall these beautiful SUVs and correct the error but that isnt the case as yet. Even with newer models, the problems seem to persist so be ready for this. Even with these problems, I believe this still holds the title of my favourite SUV. Might even upgrade to a newer model but Im more attracted to the 2019s sharper lines compared to the 2022s facelift smoother look. Id say amongst its competitors; BMW X4, X5, Lexus RX, Mercedes GLC, etc Id still opted to choose the Acura.
